  • Fly Racing Elite Vigilant Helmet

    JAMES in AL

Good helmet. Cheap olastic visor screws.

A very comfortable helmet. I bought size 2XL and on some helmets I wear XL. Would give it 5 star except plastic thumb screws on visors popped off from simply adjusting it. They broke off leaving remainder of screws inside theads. Unable to get out without damaging threads. Now what.

  • AFX FX-41 Dual Sport Motorcycle Helmet

    Brent in IL

    Dual sport commuting

Bought this helmet for my daily commute on my dual sport. It’s a nice helmet, it had a few smudges/blemishes but I wasn’t to worried about it at its price point (I’ve never been super impressed with AFX) with all its features. It fits true to size. I wear a XL in my off-road set up (Fly) and this xl fit just fine. The clear shield is very nice feature, as well as the drop down sun visor. The helmet flows a lot of air even with vents closed. Has decent amount of wind noise but not a deal breaker for my use. I think I’m th warm weather it will be plenty cool. Prolly not the best cold weather helmet. As I’ve rode in it at 34 degrees in the am and 75 in evening. Not as warm as some other helmets but not a big deal. All in all happy with purchase. If construction was a little more well made I’d give it 5 stars

  • Bell MX-9 Adventure Dash MIPS Helmet

    RicoNeil in GA

    Qualified Good Recommendation

Overall, the MX-9 Adventure fits my rides and riding style well. I wear the XXL and it weighs in at 4lbs 1.5oz. The visor weighs 3 oz, so taking it off got it under 4 lbs. I wear glasses and replaced the 35mm cheek pads with the Bell 30mm pads. It’s still a bit of a challenge to thread the ear pieces between the cheek pad and my head, but it can be done and is comfortable. Riding my CRF250 with no windshield, the helmet is like a vertical wing. Above 50 mph, any movement to the side is amplified. Be careful with semi's on two lane roads. On my Vstrom 650 with the windshield full down, it is great. After a few uses, I noticed that the chin strap was fraying. When I took a closer look, I found the inside of the double D’s have sharp serrated edges from the manufacturing stamping process. These edges are actually cutting into the chin strap. I have contacted Bell and will be shipping the helmet to them as soon as I find a good box. Note to self: don’t toss the box just because it fits!
