  • Nelson Rigg Stormrider 2-Piece Rainsuit

Rated 4.00 out of five stars.★★★★☆

    Looks like a keeper

I'm 6'3" , 215lbs , 36" inseam, size 13 boots. I got the XL suit and XL boot covers. Great fit all around. Even with my 4 seasons armored jacket on underneath plenty of room. Not too snug. I've only used it once so far. It really wasn't a true test of how well it'll keep me dry. Storms were out running me and only left damp pavement and spritzes. Judging by the windproofing abilities, it'll work just fine. Sustained highway speeds and everything stayed put and intact. Very pleased. I got the high viz orange and its bright. Relective material is very bright at night which is when i used it.

  • Nelson Rigg Waterproof Rain Boot Covers

    I think it'll work

I bought these and Stormrider suit together. The XL fits snug/well over my size 13 boots. Have only used these once on damp roads so not a real test yet. Be fully aware on how these attach onto your shoes/boots. There is a small tread portion that is under your toes to the ball of your foot. From the arch to heel there is nothing. They're held in place by the velcro laiden flaps that go from heel to calf. They never moved at highway speed for over an hour. Takes a bit to get used to the rear edge of the covers half tread. Easily caught on pegs if not paying attention. It also makes your foot a little taller with the extra 1/2 tread. Getting your foot under the shifter will require a little attention if you're already snug in that area. No way would I consider this for offroad use, but I believe this will work well in my pavement application.

  • MSR™ Force 2-Piece Rain Suit

Well made, well priced, keeps the water out.

Very well made, I was shocked by how sturdy this kit is given the price. Nice thick/heavy materiel, satsifyingly chunky zipper on the jacket and high quality velcro closures. I haven't had the chance to ride in a full downpour yet, but from the bit of lighter rain I've seen and hosing the mud off them they seem to be extremely waterproof. 4 stars as the pants run rather small. I am 6' 3" ~300lbs, broad shoulders/chest and tree trunk legs. The 2XL jacket fits me perfectly, the 2XL pants were too tight around the thighs/butt, even without wearing them over thick riding pants. I gave the pants to my younger brother and ordered the 3XL pants separately, those fit perfectly. If I could make one suggestion to RMATV, please list the jacket separately like the pants are, so folks like me with odd proportions can order them apart. If I had got the 3XL pair then the jacket would have been too large, thus why I didn't bother to exchange. Rated the ventilation as poor, which isn't actually a mark against these, they're heavy duty waterproof clothing so vents would compromise that.

  • Nelson Rigg Weather Pro Rain Suit

Rated 5.00 out of five stars.★★★★★

    Great Value for the Price

I like this product so much this is the second time I'm buying this suit. While it's fairly thin and the durability isn't the best, for the low price I paid this thing is a steal. I used this when I rode the TAT last year, and have worn it while riding in pouring down rain in 37F weather. It's kept me 100% dry and packs down small when you don't need it. Expect this to last you 1-2 seasons before the bottom of the legs start to fray and the pockets start to rip down the seams. So while this might not last as long as good quality rain gear, at 1/10th the price it's amazing value!

    Jacket - 4 stars / Pants 1 star

Bought this as a backup for a 5 day trip to Baja. On Day 2 it rained the entire day. We were on and off the bike a lot to pick up bikes and make it through. The pants are not worth it at all for riding. Didn't make it 2 hours without ripping to shreds. The jacket was good though. It made it the whole day, and I actually ended up wearing it as a wind breaker for the rest of the trip. Would recommend the Jacket as 4 starts and the pants as 1. Based on the price though, I got what I needed out of them.
