Not since the early days of the sport has a single motocross goggle design brought so much innovation. Long ago, Oakley's founder developed an entirely new MX goggle that became a mainstay in the sport for 17 years. You are now looking at the future of MX goggles. The Oakley Airbrake Motocross Goggle is the new standard of protection, clarity, comfort and convenience. The Oakley Airbrake Motocross Goggle was engineered for instant adaptability, and that goes beyond Switchlock inter-changeable lens technology. Airbrake MX is the Swiss Army knife of goggles. You can easily swap out replacement faceplates, outrigger configurations, and straps. It's fully adaptable, configurable, and serviceable. The Oakley Airbrake is truly the one motocross goggle that can do it all.
Comfort: Features an exoskeleton frame, with a durable yet lightweight O Matter exterior mated to a flexible urethane faceplate.
Protection: First-ever MX goggle lens made of injection-molded Plutonite. Provides 100% protection against ambient UVA, UVB, UVC and harmful blue light up to 400nm.
Switchlock Technology: Makes the process of lens changing fast and hassle-free.
Clarity: Safety and performance demand true, accurate vision, so they injection-mold the lenses under extreme pressure to achieve a precise optical geometry.
Field of Vision: The sleek design extends peripheral vision to the absolute max. It offers an optimized fit that takes into account the vertical frame orientation when the rider is in racing position.
In my opinion these are the best goggles ever made for dirt biking. Perfect seal to the face without pinching the nose. The thicker lens material and superior attachment to the goggle frame give me confidence that they will be very protective. I took off a few value points because even though these goggles are the best that can be bought, the msrp is high for goggles. Also, I think that a clear lens should be included.
I used to wear Crowbar & O Frame goggles, but since switching to Airbrakes I don't think I could go back to regular goggles. Airbrakes are outrageously nice! They are expensive, but the quality & durability of the frame & thick prizm lens are amazing. Extremely comfortable, best goggles for MX racing out there. Idk if the foam lasts longer than regular goggles.
This is my second pair of airbrake goggles and they have been excellent. I’ve had the first pair for three years and they still seal and fit great and the band isn’t stretched at all even using over a helmet.
Great goggles! Little expensive but great quality, I got the Troy lee design edition and as far as detail you couldn’t ask for better! The prizm lens is great for sunny days riding, but I suggest getting a clear lens for trail riding on cloudy days! Overall great goggles!!
