I was initially disappointed I could not find the Alpinestars Tech 2’s anymore, so took a chance on this half boot. I use them for street riding. Pleasantly surprised thus far. They are broken in after only a couple rides, and are reasonably comfy. A little narrow, but works for me. If you’re looking for a street boot, or pit bike boot, this is a good choice.
I got out of the pit bike scene years ago and have recently gotten back into it. I had a pair of tech-2s that I loved but got rid of and now I love these blitzs just as much. I used to be sponsored by Thor so for me it's a givin to go with them it's in my blood lol
I've had these boots about a year now. They were a little uncomfortable at first. After wearing them a few times they felt fine. Need to order a little large. I can wear them all day and have no problem. They seem to be plenty durable as well. Good value for the money.
I had the original 50/50 boots and they worked well for light adventure riding. The blitz boots offer more support but the buckles are not good. The originals had metal buckles that worked well. The blitz buckles are plastic and very hard to close. A cost savings I'm sure but I'd rather spend a little extra for quality. Overall the boots are decent and there aren't many options like this.
I bought these boots a little over a week ago. upon first inspection it seemed like they were built very well. I did order them a size bigger then I normally wear and I am glad I did. These boots are just a tad on the narrow side (but i have wide feet). I hope they will widen out a little after they get broke in. The one downside is the buckles are all plastic but they seem solid. Over all I would say these are a great boot for the money. I will update when i get some rides on the boots
