Three separate EPS inserts with varying low and high speed impact-specific densities.
Expanded polypropylene, or EPP, chin bar liner for multi-impact performance.
Removable snap-in, washable comfort liner.
High flow intake system with 22 intake passages and 6 large, rear exhaust vents.

MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) is a specialized helmet safety technology that is now being used in the top tier of off road helmets in order to greatly lessen the chances of traumatic brain injury.
By integrating an engineered low-friction layer into the liner of the helmet, MIPS enables a relative sliding motion between the head and the helmet so angular and rotational impact forces are absorbed and deflected.
Since most head impacts occur at oblique and unpredictable angles, helmets with MIPS Technology are able to offer better protection than helmets without.
By far the nicest feeling helmet i have ever purchased in my life. Perfect fitment and great quality. Highly recommend a Troy Lee Design helmet as we all should know its not their first rodeo at Helmet design.
Love how it fits and looks. Mud tends to stick more to the matte surface and it harder to clean off (need soap instead of just water). Also, the cheek pads are a little more abrasive than other helmets (Fly) I've had.
Love the helmet, its feather weight and well vented which extremely nice for riding tight technical single track trails and the only thing I don't like is is extremely easy to scratch so use the helmet bag
Like you'd expect from TLD, excellent "cosmetics" on these SE4 helmets. Fit is true to size and ventilation is great. For a perfect fit, pair this helmet with a set of Oakley Crowbar goggles and you're set.
Only complaint is this didn't come with the really nice helmet bag like my last two TLD helmets.
The helmet fits really snug and the chin bar is really close to your mouth. It's got tons of vents, but if your doing any single track doesn't vent enough due to the chin bar being right up on your mouth. The chin bar also makes it a little harder to ride with a bladder pack by restricting movement to hold the bladder mouth piece in your mouth while riding. The helmet is super light and the liner pops in and out quickly.
