New for the 2017 Polaris Ranger lineup, the Ranger XP 1000 is the most powerful utility side-by-side ever. It features a ProStar 1000 engine, capable of delivering 80 HP and 61 lb-ft of torque. That’s 17% more HP and 11% more toque than its predecessor, the Ranger XP 900.

One of the major improvements with the new Ranger XP 1000 is the throttle control. When set to Performance, it allows you to harness the complete horsepower capabilities and achieve the machine’s full potential for speed. When set to Work, you are able to tackle jobs requiring precision. Standard mode is a solid mix of the two.

The Ranger XP 1000 is equipped with a slew of features that appeal to everyone who’s looking for a utility side-by-side. The Pro-Lock™ On-Demand AWD allows the Ranger to quickly engage 2WD or AWD – or even a single rear wheel for tight turning on sensitive terrain (VersaTrac Turf Mode). Combine that with a class-leading payload capacity and a gas-assisted dumping rear box, and you’ve got yourself one heavy duty machine.

The Polaris Ranger XP 1000 can fit three people, but it is also available in a crew model that can fit six. Both versions are available in base models and premium models (which include EPS).

Polaris is also releasing six special edition models – four for the regular XP 1000 EPS and two for the Crew XP 1000 EPS. These SE versions include accessories and features for specialized uses.

The Hunter Edition is ready to go for the hunt, complete with gun scabbards. (The Crew XP 1000 does not have a Hunter Edition, but the Polaris Pursuit Camo is one of the color options for it, unlike the standard XP 1000.)
