It was another incredible weekend for Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-KTM-WPS as Blake Baggett took another dominating win at High Point, his second consecutive victory this year. His performance has rocketed him to the top of the overall leaderboard, giving him the red plate in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross series moving into round 5. This is a major milestone for both Baggett and the team, and as the title sponsor, we couldn’t be more excited.

Baggett’s year just keeps getting better. After an excellent Monster Energy Supercross season where he logged multiple top 5 finishes and scored a podium, he entered the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross season with confidence. At round 2, he landed on the podium in moto 2. Then at round 3, he took the overall win with 3-1 finishes.

Baggett knew that this was not a fluke and that he’d be back with speed at High Point. He proved it first by taking the second-fastest qualifying score in practice. In moto 1, Baggett got a great start and finished the first lap in 5th. From there, it was an upward climb, and he gained a position every lap or two until he took over the lead in lap 6. He finished with a dominating 22-second gap over Dean Ferris in 2nd.

In moto 2, Baggett finished the first lap in 8th, while one of his primary rivals, Eli Tomac, was nearly at the front. Baggett once more charged through the pack, gaining position after position as the laps went by. By lap 7, Baggett had reached 2nd, but by that point, Tomac was already in the lead with a sizable gap. Baggett started to catch up for a few laps, but Tomac was too far ahead, and he never was able to put on a challenge for his rival. However, Baggett’s 1-2 score gave him the overall win by a huge margin over Jason Anderson (5-3) and Broc Tickle (4-4).

Baggett scored 47 points with his overall win, a whopping 13 points over Tomac (12-1) and 27 points over Marvin Musquin (16-6). Baggett now sits at the top of the leaderboard with 155 points, with Musquin in 2nd (147 points) and Tomac in 3rd (144 points). This puts Baggett in a great position moving forward, and he will proudly display the red plate on his KTM 450 SX-F at the Tennessee National for round 5. We’re glad to have Baggett on Team RMATVMC, and we’re looking forward to see how the rest of the season goes.
