Week in and week out, there are always new products hitting the RockyMountainATVMC.com website. We take pride in everything that we stock, but sometimes some new, exciting, ingenious, or just plain cool products get lost in the mix. So, here are some of the parts and accessories that you might’ve missed from last month.

Two Dirt Bikes

Tusk Motorcycle Tubes

Price: $5.49 – $14.99

When it comes to getting new dirt bike tires, most riders put in the time to make sure they’re getting the right set. Traction, tread, and composition are all considered, and the options are weighed until a set is finally decided on. A lot of riders spend a significant amount of time picking the perfect set of tires only to haphazardly choose the tubes that go in them. Well, we’re here to set the record straight: tubes are just as important as the tires they go in. Your tube can affect the feel and performance of your tire, handling the abuse of the tire’s carcass and helping to prevent flats. Protect your investment in your tires with a durable pair of tubes.

The new Tusk Motorcycle Tubes are a great option for affordable, durable, and long-lasting tire protection. Coming in severe-duty (3mm thick) and heavy-duty options (2mm thick), the Tusk tubes are thicker than stock offerings and puncture resistant. Whether installed in brand new tires or used as replacements for worn-out tubes, the Tusk Motorcycle Tubes are a reliable and lasting go-to.

SW-MOTECH Side Stand Switch Guard

Price: $34.95

The KLR650 may be dead, but that doesn’t mean it’s not still one of the most popular and well-loved ADV bikes out there. The Kawasaki is so popular, in fact, that manufactures are still designing and releasing new aftermarket accessories for the discontinued machine. Case in point, SW-MOTECH’s Side Stand Switch Guard. If you have a KLR or are looking to pick one up, this affordable accessory could easily be a must-have. One vulnerability on the KLR is its exposed kickstand safety cut-off switch. With a rugged 1.5mm aluminum switch, however, the KLR is much more protected. Over rocks and past branches and other trail hazards, the aftermarket upgrade takes the brunt of the forces that could otherwise damage the bike. For under $35, you couldn’t ask for a more useful accessory.

ProTaper SELA Device

Price: $143.99

For dirt bike racers, one of the hardest things to master is good start. Unfortunately, starts are also one of the hardest things to practice. And if you have a holeshot device, then you usually can’t even practice by yourself. At least that’s how it used to be. ProTaper recognized this problem for a lot of races and came up with an innovative solution: the Self-Engaged Launch Assist, or SELA, device. Their patent-pending, self-engaged twist dial allows you to set the start device by yourself. Simply twist the dial and grab the front brake to compress the fork. On the first hard brake or jump after your start, the system will disengage. Constructed from forged aluminum alloy, the SELA device is strong, durable, and lightweight. The hard-anodized parts resist wear, but, just in case, the engagement confirmation markings are laser-etched into the device. If you’re looking to dial in your starts this season, the SELA device is the part you’ve been waiting for.

The Tusk lights replace the OE taillights with the same mounting and electrical plugs, and only use 6 watts per pair during braking.
