Round 6 of Monster Energy Supercross saw plenty of excitement at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-KTM-WPS rider Davi Millsaps led the charge for the team as he charged through the pack to finish in 8th.

Davi Millsaps #18

Millsaps had a strong showing in his heat race, rounding out the first turn in 3rd and staying in that position until the end. In the main, another rider collided with him in the first turn, sending Millsaps down which forced him into the mechanics area for repairs shortly thereafter. However, Millsaps put on an incredible charge, coming back from last place all the way up to 8th.

“It was a challenge tonight.” said Millsaps, “The track was technical and I didn’t get the start I needed. We will regroup and come back strong next week in Minneapolis.”

Blake Baggett #4

Baggett’s day started great with the 4th fastest qualifying time. He just missed the holeshot in the heat but managed to position himself in 3rd early on, which is where he finished. Once in the main, Baggett didn’t quite get the start he was looking for and rounded the first turn mid-pack. He worked his way up to 6th before a slick spot on the track caused him to crash, which damaged his bike’s controls and required a stop in the mechanics area. By the time he was able to return, he could only salvage 17th place.

“It was a frustrating night,” said Baggett. “I was fast on this track, but the track became an ice skating rink and it started biting a lot of us riders back in the main. It was just a tough end to the night.”
