The 11th round of the Pro Motocross Championship was another day of top-tier performances by the Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-KTM-WPS riders. With the season winding down and competition reaching its peak, Blake Baggett, Benny Bloss, and Dakota Alix raced their hardest to try and shake up the running order.

Blake Baggett #4 – 450MX

Baggett showed promise early on when he qualified with the 6th-fastest time, and as the gate dropped for moto 1, he got out among the top ten. After battling with Anderson and taking a spill, Baggett remounted and crossed the finish in 5th. Moto 2 began with an even stronger start, and Blake made the first turn inside the top five. Riders jockeyed for position, but Baggett increased his pace and ran one of his best races of the season. He finished 2nd in moto 2, earning him 4th-place overall. He still holds 5th place in championship points.

“I felt good all day today,” said Baggett. “I knew I had the speed to run up front. I dug deep, and it felt good to get that 2nd-place finish in moto 2. We’ll come into the last round ready and looking to end the season with a win.”

Benny Bloss #60 – 450MX

Bloss was also in the mix right from the start when he shot out of the gate inside the top ten during moto 1. Bloss raced hard, but couldn’t pass the race leaders. When the checkered flag waved, Benny crossed in 9th. He got another solid start in moto 2 and ran inside the top ten for the majority of the race. Looking fast and collected, Bloss kept his pace and took 8th place. With 9-8 finishes, he took 8th overall and sits 8th in championship points.

“I rode well today,” said Bloss. “My starts were there in both motos, and I just rode at my own pace out there. I’m looking forward to finishing off the season on the podium next week at Ironman.”

Dakota Alix #42 – 250MX

Dakota Alix made a solid run during moto 1 and took 19th place at the finish line. At the start of moto 2, Alix got caught in a first-turn pileup that sent him to the back of the pack. After picking up his bike and salvaging what positions he could, Dakota settled in and started moving forward. By race’s end, he had moved up to take another 19th-place finish. His 19-19 results earned him 20th overall.
