I live in the country and commute into the city. I ride primarily on different types of roads. This tire hooks up well in the dirt and rides reasonably well for a knobby on roads. Treadwear is the only complaint. I will be lucky to get more than 2000 miles out of these tires. Since a round trip on my commute is 90+ miles, that is only about 22 trips. Not very encouraging. If you are riding primarily on dirt and only on the road for a few miles, this is a good tire for you but the Dunlop D606 is a better tire for this in my opinion.Read All Reviews

I bought a set of these thinking they'd work for slickrock in Moab. People have been using trials tires on back with good review. Thought I'd try this out. I usually ride faster than anyone and seldom if ever crash. I crashed 3 times descending Pritchet Canyon, 4 times on Kane Creek Wash, and struggled on other sandy roads due to NO TRACTION. Even pushing the bike along side I was pathetically helpless to climb. These tires were smooth on Highway 191 and the tread was tough and resilient against wear in tough conditions. I'm taking these OFF!!!!! I hate being the slow weak link in the group! For my style the Maxxis IT Desert is the way to go. These tires are a waste of money for off-road. It made the trip like some low-fat sugar-free soy-based treat of a weekend. YUCK!!!Read All Reviews

This tire is terrible off road. It sinks in the sand. It spins helplessly climbing rock. It washes out on dirt corners. And it's smooth and pleasant on asphalt. If you're ride is pink or light blue- this is the tire for you!Read All Reviews
