I would buy nothing but the Bridgestone 403 before this tire. I was disappointed when I was told by a local shop that the 403 would be discontinued and replaced by this tire. After running this tire I couldn't be more pleased. This tire holds in corners a little better then the 403. I got good miles out of a 403 but always had to replaced them due to the side knobs getting torn off by rocks. With the X30 I have not torn off even one side knobby. The center is wearing very well. It appears I will get more miles out of this tire then the 403 due to the side knobs holding up much better then the 403. This review is only based on the front tire. I do not run Bridgestone tires on the back of my bikes.Read All Reviews

I have been riding montana mountain trails now for 6 years which are rocky, rough, steep, and muddy have tried numerous tires over the years, have had friends recommend different tires. And finally I decided to try something different "on my own decision". Decided to check out the bridgestone battlecross x40 and have over 500 miles on it to date and still looks decent. Most tires by this point would have chunked out badly by now but this tire has not at all. Really impressed with traction and durability. I think it works well here in Montana because of our changing terrain and that this tire seems to be a cross between a mud tire and an trials tire. I am buying this one again when this tire is done and would highly recommend to anyone riding in our type terrain.Read All Reviews
