Giant Loop is worth the money

I've recently gotten into adventure riding a couple years ago. I bought a xr650r and started doing multi day rides into Baja. At first I tried to do it on the cheap and bought Wolfman bags. They worked good, but just after 2 trips, the bags started ripping and the straps were breaking. So i switch to Giant Loop and wont look back. I leave the Giant Loop coyote bag on full time now, even when riding one day weekend rides. I ride at an expert level and like to move around on the bike a lot. This bag has never given me any grief and you hardly know it's there.

    Great set up

I use this bag for long day rides into remote terrain on days I need to carry extra tools and clothes to support myself. It fits tight and stays in place all day on trails and doesn't get in the way when I have to move around over the bike. The fabric is tough and has survived quite a few dumps and bush-wacking sessions without a tear. It fits on all my bikes which I like and is easy to remove when I don't want it on-board. I mostly use it on my 250 XCFW. The only negative about this rack-less system is that it sits directly on the plastics and does scratch them up.

    A very high quality bag

The bag is a very high quality bag that fastens securly and looks like it will last a long time. I took it through the desert and it survived many crashes without a problem. The only issue I have is the cost. I know this is made in the US., limited production, and a specialty item but it was very hard to pull the trigger on the cost. It does help that it should be a once in a lifetime purchase.

Fine bags for the money, but not on my bike

These seemed to be the best bang for the buck, especially since they didn't require a side rack system. Unfortunately they won't work on my bike. I could do some strap and buckle modifications to get them semi-secure, but one bumpy dirt road and they'd be off-center, on the exhaust pipe, the tire tread, or competing with me for my seat. Quality is fine, but I wouldn't recommend this for a Honda CRF250L.

    The Standard for ADV Luggage

I've used my Wolfman Expedition Dry Saddle Bags on a number of trips throughout the western US. They've survived dust, rain and plenty of biffs in the dirt. With a tank bag and a small duffle I can carry camping equipment, tools and cloths for a week.

I ordered and used these on my recent ride through the Baja, on my KTM 450XC-W and loved them. They have lots of storage space, mount easily and give easy and quick access to your stuff. They do tend to bounce around a bit on rough trails and whoops, but that wasn't really an issue. Much better than using a backpack, that's for sure!
