Motocross helmets provide the ultimate in off-road racing headgear. Designed for the rigors of motocross, these helmets appeal to everyone from professional racers to casual trail riders. Why? Quite simply, there’s no such thing as too much protection when it comes to your head – especially when you’re riding an off-road powerhouse.
So what really separates a high-end motocross helmet from the rest? Traditional helmet testing is held to strict standards, but it is wholly inadequate when considering the accidents that are faced in actual environments. While most helmets provide sufficient protection from direct impacts, most accidents actually involve an angular impact, resulting in rotational energy being transferred directly to the brain, leading to head trauma. High-end motocross helmets consider this in their engineering, helping to reduce to energy transfer to the brain by absorbing it using proven technology. Furthermore, when a helmet must be removed by emergency personnel after an accident, motocross helmets often have removable cheek pads to ease removal and reduce the likelihood of further injury.
But there is more to motocross helmets than listing off safety features or DOT/Snell certifications. The tightknit feeling that the MX community has established has created a unique flair and culture not duplicated anywhere else. As a result, these helmets display a visual appearance that blends the raw energy and refined focus characteristic of the sport.

Started wearing the Leatt helmets back in 2015 with the Carbon 6.5. The newer helmets have updated padding and are more comfortable compared to the originals with purple inner liner. Perfect helmet if you have neck pain, it is very light and well vented.Read All Reviews

Purchased this as a backup helmet to my original Leatt 6.5 carbon. Same light weight and venting but Leatt improved he comfort with much better interanl padding on the newer line. Composite option comes in a bit cheaper and I could not tell a difference in the slight weight increase, recommended!Read All Reviews

Pros: Fits good, amazing quality for the price. Cons: hard to put the helmet on with the goggles on the helmet, difficult finding preferred colors to go with older model bikes. To be honest I tried on several different helmets and Bell fit the best.Read All Reviews
