    Great jacket... highly recommend!

I've worn this jacket in desert temperatures of over 100 degrees and cooler evening temps in the 40s. The ventilation for the hot weather was perfect... as long as I was moving, the jacket did not cause me to overheat. With the liner, I was perfectly comfortable in the cooler temps as well. The liner is very easy to add and remove. Great jacket for the money!

    MotoNation Diablo

Just bought a sport bike so needed a street-suitable jacket. Great, light-weight jacket, with integrated armor. My only slight complaint is that there aren't any ventillation ports, but I guess with the mesh design, perhaps its not needed. Fit is dead-on and it looks great. Will have to see if I stay cool on the road, but so far, its a great jacket.

Way cheaper alternative to the Missle Tech with the...

This thing is almost identical to the much more expensive Alpine Stars Missle Tech Air. Great flexability, and not too short for my 6'1" frame. The only complaint I have is the back armor doesn't seem high quality, but it's pretty much the same shape as the popular D3O backpad on the Icon Overlord, so I'll probably just end up replacing it with one of those. The elbow and shoulder pads however are great. All in all, this is about as good a jacket as you can get for the price. I highly recommend it.

    What that Hood do?

This is a great overall lightweight jacket, Very comfortable. It could use a little more ventilation. If you are riding in weather 85+ degrees I would not recommend. If you plan on riding any interstate, make sure to tuck in the hood or you will get choked out by the wind surging the hood. Overall I am very happy with the purchase.

Bad jacket, worse customer service by Alpinestars

The good: The first thing I noticed was how good it looked and how well it appeared to be built. I get lots of compliments on the jacket. The waterproof chest pocket. I haven't noticed any water getting into it, even in heavy rain at 60 mph. The fit is pretty good for my build (6'3" 200lbs) in a size large. And it has plenty of adjustability for layering. The bad: Not waterproof! The first few commutes in the rain I was noticing some rain getting in. I thought it was through the vents at first and tried making sure I had them zipped up all the way. Then one day I decided to go for a longer ride in the rain to put it through it's paces. I ended up getting wet on my chest, biceps, and thighs. Anywhere wind was hitting me, water was getting through. So I emailed Alpinestars through their website, a week goes by...no reply. So I call the customer support number. They give me a U.S. email to email them and told me my email must have gone to their headquarters and been lost in the mix. A few days later I get an email to call them, then when I do they tell me to email them. Anyway, a few transactions later the guy tells me this "The Andes V2 has a light external coating but is not a laminated jacket. After using this garment in heavy rain for extended amounts of time the outer shell can absorb water. The Drystar membrane is floating between the outer shell and internal liner which will keep all water from penetrating to the rider. It is possible if the customer wants more water protection externally to add a waterproof spray or wax. (ex. www.nikwax.com) https://www.nikwax.com/en-us/productselector/waterproofing.php However, this will effect the breathability of the Drystar membrane." This is just pathetic customer service since it's supposed to have a one year warranty and I got it this summer.
