The most uncomfortable riding pants I've ever worn

I bought these pants to replace my worn out KLIMs. When I received them I tried them on and they initially felt pretty good. I got a chance to test them during a 7 day Oregon BDR trip last week. Within a couple hours the knee pads had rubbed against my knees so bad that I could barely get on and off the bike. Absolute misery! There was absolutely no way to sit comfortably in these pants. The other issue is that they are very "high-wasted" which means they continually ride up high while you are in the saddle, creating lots of pain and discomfort in the crotch area. I had to constantly stand up and pull them down, which helped for a couple of minutes before they started to ride back up. I still can't get over how they chaffed my knees so bad. There is little articulation in the knees which results in them bunching up behind your knees, creating more chaffing. The temps ranged between 65 and 107. Even with the vents open, these pants aren't comfortable in anything over 80 degrees. Over 80, and you're going to be sweaty for the rest of the day. I'll be getting rid of these immediately and looking for something else to try.

    great product, very comfortable

When I pulled these out of the box i was surprised at how thick the material was. My first thought was that they would be way too hot for summer wear. It turns out he thickness is mostly fluff due to the 5 layer construction which is supposed to keep you cool in warm weather and warm in cool weather. I was skeptical but so far they seem to live up to their claim. Only had them on 5 or 6 rides so far in temps varying from 50 to 95 degrees. I have found them to be comfortable at those temps even when other parts of my body were not. Only negative is the short fly zipper. Only 4". Really? Normal Wrangler jeans are 6". Aside from that they are the most comfortable riding pants I have had.

    Would purchase again.

These are very high quality and fit excellent. The waist button broke on my first pair. Rocky Mountain ATV/MC took care of me and shipped me some new pants within a couple of days.

    Love them

Fortunately I haven't gone down yet with these on, so I can't really rate that. However, the material is much heavier duty than regular jeans. You feel a lot more protected just from that fact. That heavier feel does not come at the cost of comfort. These pants are very comfortable, on and off the bike. And they look good also. The material also cuts the wind very well and keeps your legs warmer in cooler temps. I found the waist sizing to be accurate for me. They fit me the same as a pair of Levi's would in the same waist size. The length runs a bit longer, which is good. With boots on, the length is perfect. Also you may need to pull the knees up a bit to align the armor pockets on the knee while sitting. So no need to hem the length.
