Dual Sport and Adventure Bike Air Filters

All motorcycles need air filters, but when you’re on a dual sport bike, you need something that can manage a lot of dirt and dust for all of your off-road adventures. When you’re looking for dual sport air filters, be sure to identify one that can handle your needs.

It may be a small part, but the air filter does a lot to keep your engine in top shape. Small particles of dirt in the air can act abrasively against your engine’s various components, but the air filter acts as a protection, stopping dust. But a good air filter doesn’t just stop dirt – it also allows air to travel through. The better a filter is able to let air through to the engine, the better your bike runs.

At Rocky Mountain ATV/MC, we carry a variety of excellent options that are ideal for off-road settings. We’ve got major brands like K&N, No Toil, Twin Air, Uni, Pro X and PC Racing – all reputable names that have been in the filter industry for some time.

To get started, enter your bike’s make, model and year into our Parts Finder. This will allow us to automatically display only the air filters that will fit your machine. At that point, it just comes down to your own preference. Check it out now!

    fit and quality are lacking

I have been a long time Twin Air user and decided to try something different, No Toil pre oiled filter was a bad choice. Fit was terrible, it took several attempts to get the sealing foam to mate cleanly and neatly to the airbox to ensure a good seal. The difficulties were due to poor design and quality in my opinion, the flat surface that mates to the airbox wanted to roll over the inside of the filter cage making it difficult to get a good sealing surface. The pre oiling was poor as well, I could see green colored stripes where it looked like the oil was sprayed on meaning that I could also see more white colored stripes where the oil was not. After adding more oil and spending more time than should be necessary to install it properly it did do the job. I'll stick with Twin Air

Twin air makes awesome filters, very good fit on cage and shaped to fit in airbox.

    Time and money saver.

Ran 1 of 3 at a dusty clay and dirt track and a sand track before removing. I would say it caught 65-75% of larger particulates, but I was using K&N filter oil, would probably catch more with foam filter oil. I estimate around 50% less filter cleanings. Includes resealable pouch for storage. I recommend this product.

    filter skins

If you are going to be in a very dusty area and not able to service the filter for an extended period of time they could be useful but trying to install them in a crf air box is frustrating.

    Filter screw

Great screw works perfect with stock filter cage, not long enough to work with twin air power cage.
