UTV Roost Deflectors

When you hop into your UTV for a trek across some gnarly terrain, it’s important to make sure that you’re ready for whatever may come your way. By design, UTVs already offer more protection than other powersport vehicles since they come stock with roll cages and seatbelts. But what if you’d like additional personal protection? UTV roost deflectors might be just the thing – especially if you don’t have a windshield on your machine. If you’re traveling along with a couple of buddies ahead of you, a roost deflector can keep you safe from any debris that they might kick up.

We’ve got a large variety of UTV roost deflectors, and we stock the big names you expect to see in this industry: Answer, EVS, Fox, Leatt, MSR, O’Neal, Scott, Six Six One, Thor and many others. While all of them have provided products that fulfill one primary function – chest protection – there are many different styles and designs to choose from. Some are flashy; some are subtle. Some are extensive; others are simple. Some are designed with a variety of additional features. But all of them do the job and do it well. Browse our selection today to see for yourself.

    Decent, but with flaws

Nice armor, with a couple flaws (I have about 40hrs of use on mine): - Comfortable, protective, doesn't interfere with movements. - Velcro on the kidney belt lost its bite, it's not replaceable, Fox said they can't do anything as it's out of warranty. - Triangular buckles that connect shoulders to chest/back protectors get lose and keep coming off. - Kidney belt and torso portion overlap and get into each other. - Back protector extends below the belt line and is too bulky to fit into pants, so you can't tuck in your jersey (assuming you wear it on top of the armor).

Good Protection - Uncomfortable - Poor Quality

Even though I havent tested on a crash or fall yet, the RAPTOR chest protector seems to have a very good protection rate. But, I don´t find it the most comfortable chest protector, especially where the screws hold the shoulder protection, they are prominent and I´m afraid they might cause injury on the event of a crash. I can tell this, because after a few hours of riding with my camelback on, I can reallly feel the screws on my collarbones. The worst is quality, I just took the chest protector out of the box for sizing and one of the screws I mentioned above came broken, so I took that part off and started riding just with one shoulder protector, after less than ten minutes riding in the bush, the plastic that holds the shoulder protector broke, without having any crash... After all this, I replaced both shoulder protectors, and they havent last more than a week, so I had to attach some plastic belts to hold them.
