I have the A-8, the previous version of this basically. This has more rib protection and wraps around the ribs a little better then the A-8. The shoulder pads are much better protection then the A-8 but not sure it’s better then say the Leatt 5.5. Overall it’s good for what it is, can fit under a shirt or jacket for ADV/dirt bike riding and a big upgrade compared to just a jacket with armor but not sure it’s more protection then some others on the market.Read All Reviews

Wanted to get a few rides in before reviewing. First, get a size larger. I am 6ft 225 lbs and very fit (no gut) and the XL is snug. I don't feel it when riding. The armor fits superbly and stays in place. I have had quite few get offs including going down in a rock creek bed at 15 mph. No bruises or injuries. I have been riding in the winter so cant comment on heat build up. The seams and stiching appear to be very good. My only complaint is I wish the front armor was a single piece and larger. I have chest muscles so the armor sits on my chest with a large gap below. I am going to lube the zippers regularly because my last SixSixOne had major corrosion problems with the zipper. Hope that helped.Read All Reviews

I wear a chest protector only when the roost at whatever track I am at is unbearable, i usually prefer not to wear one at all. With that said I need my chest protector to be pretty light and un-restricting. I have been wearing a fox proframe, and decided to try this because I like alpinestars and it looked pretty breathable. When I got it in the mail I was surprised by how sturdy it was, and after wearing it I was surprised by how comfortable it was. I like the strap system, and I wear it over the jersey and it still looks good. I am 5 foot 8, 155 pounds and I got the small / medium. Fits good, I wouldn't want it any smaller.Read All Reviews
