Dirt Bike Clutch Kits

While often eclipsed by a never-ending quest for more power or lighter weight, upgrading a dirt bike’s clutch is an improvement that you can immediately feel and appreciate – perhaps more than you ever thought possible! And if you want to prevent problems of the motor stalling out, you might even consider upgrading to a dirt bike auto clutch.

Whatever your specific needs are, you know you can count on Rocky Mountain ATV/MC to deliver the best dirt bike clutch kits. We stock the popular Rekluse EXP and Rekluse Z-Start automatic clutch kits. We also carry other leading brands, including EBC, Pro X and Tusk. If you need high performance clutch kits to really give your motorcycle a boost, you’re in the right place. (If you’re not so much interested in performance-enhancing aftermarket clutch kits as you are just a stock OEM clutch replacement, take a look at our OEM parts to find what you need!)

We also carry replacement clutch accessories, so if you just need a cover gasket or some clutch springs, you can find them here as well!

    Rekluse EXP 3.0 Clutch

First let me say that an auto-clutch will make your life much easier on a 4-stroke. It's almost like cheating, because you can lug the bike, lock the rear wheel with the brake, or lay it down and never worry about stalling. Only if you do something really dumb like pulling 4th gear at a crawl in a corner will it stall. I started with the 2.0 and never installed it, then when the 3.0 came out I called RM and they agreed to exchange at no cost!! Great service!! The EXP 3.0 is great for moderate level riding, but for MX racing you need the Core EXP 3.0. Where the EXP replaces some of your clutch plates with the auto-clutch unit and requires heavier springs, the Core comes with a slightly larger clutch cover that allows you to use the full complement of plates and normal weight springs. The difference is a normal clutch pull vs a stiff pull, and also better durability and smoothness. With the Hondas in particular, the EXP alone can lead to clutch chatter which sounds worse than it really is, but it is hard on the basket cushions. I ended up upgrading through Rekluse directly to the Core EXP, plus got one of their billet baskets with new cushions and all new Rekluse plates. Have not installed yet as of this be continued. Currently back on a 2-stroke.
