The importance of motorcycle spark plugs cannot be understated. All of the power delivered from the engine relies on this single, small component whose primary function is simply to create a spark, igniting the air/fuel mixture in the combustion chamber. As with most motorcycle parts, spark plugs eventually wear out. When this happens, the bike can’t run. For this reason, regularly replacing it is generally considered a common maintenance task, but it’s something that practically anyone can do – especially if you have a spark plug wrench or socket. Many riders even carry a spare spark plug holder with them whenever they ride just in case.
We stock several great options from major brands like NGK and Champion. They come in many varieties. Standard spark plugs are the basic run-of-the-mill plug, similar to OEM in most cases. However, there are others too, whether they are built out of different materials (such as platinum or iridium) or feature a slightly different shape or design. Some are even built with specific applications in mind, such as racing.
Picking the right spark plug is easy with our Parts Finder. No matter what brand you have, we carry a motorcycle spark plug that will work for you. Make sure that the make, model and year line up when you order. That way, you know that you’re getting a spark plug that will fit your motorcycle. Take a look at our selection now to check it out.
