  • Tusk 1.6 High Pressure Radiator Cap

Tusk 1.6 High Pressure Radiator Cap

    DANIEL in OR

    as advertised.. legit. great item.

just got this today and bench tested it with my radiator cap tester. 24psi before relieving pressure (a pound above its rating), NICE! Installed on the bike and ran on the stand for a while...no coolant puke. i got this paired with some fatty radiators and some engine ice in hopes of no coolant lost during trail floggings on the diminutive 250f. We will see how it does after some hard trail miles. Happy camper.. great item priced right! thanks RM for another dandy.

  • Works Connection Aluminum Radiator Braces

    Works Connection Aluminum Radiator Braces

    Hudsen in Georgia

    Good product

Installed these on my 07 X. They're a great product and easy to install. I'm really writing this to address problems I've seen people write when installing these particular style of braces. 1) If your radiator has taken a bad hit (like mine has) prior to installation, and has been tweaked, you will have a rough time installing these. Depending on the severity of the damage, slight to heavy modification will need to be addressed to make these work. 2) The stock louvers, will not attach the outside of the radiator properly as before during install. Slight modification once again can be done to make them work and look clean. I cut the two mounting holes on the outside off to make room/mesh with mounting portion of the bracket, still using the push inserts on the inside side of the louver for mounting to the inside. Then drilled two holes in the center round portion on the outside, routing a zip tie through the holes and around the bracket, holding them securely in place (honestly less flimsy than stock mounting). Like a lot of people who run these, I noticed significant less flexing of the radiator and plastics with my knee braces on. Overall great product. For those saying these wont protect from hitting a tree head on or some other sort of accident likewise, you're correct. However don't blame the product, for these are simple BRACES, NOT GUARDS. These will stiffen up the mounting for the radiator and protect it better in a layover better that nothing. Think about why you're buying these and if you need SERIOUS protection, I would look elsewhere, but for the 90% of people looking at these, they'll be fine.
