    Klim Carlsbad Pant

Much lighter and comfortable, but baggy in calf and...

Coming from a old adventure rally pant in same size, I was disappointed to find the carlsbad just didn't fit good. The pants are about 1- 1.5" longer then the rally pants, and much more baggy in calf/ knee area. The weight of the carlsbad is much lighter then the rally, but the ventilation and armor isn't on par ether. If you are tall with average waist these pants should fit ok, except the baggy calfs / knees. Returned pants, probably buy rev-it or find a pair of overland pants for sale.

    Motorfist Ranger Pant

Good pants, but not for me

These simply do not fit me. First pair ripped at the vent zipper on right side while getting on bike in driveway. Motorfist warrantied them quickly with no hassles. Second pair ripped in same spot on the right leg getting on bike. I haven't even left the driveway with these on. They are cut to fit very long. I really wanted these to work. Good quality and features but I don't want to wear pants a a size or 2 too large to compensate for how they are made. Returning them to try something else. If you have a long inseam they will prob work well.

  • Tourmaster Venture Air 2.0 Mesh Pants

Tourmaster Venture Air 2.0 Mesh Pants

    Nice comfortable pants.

I was surprised at how warm they are even in 55° weather, I was roasting! Being an “air” pant I figured I’d need the liners (waterproof and quilted). Boy was I wrong! I will probably be able to wear these in temps down into the high 20’s before I’d need more warmth, and a set of thermals would fix that. Once I took both liners out I was plenty comfortable riding in the 55-70° range. It gets into the 100’s around here so we’ll see in a couple months how they are. Fit is true to size. If I lose any weight at all these are going to be too small for me, but they’re just right on my chubby butt right now LOL. Very comfortable on the skin with the mesh fabric inside. I wore a pair of thin running shorts under them and they don’t chaff at all on bare legs. I have the included knee pads in the highest setting (3 levels) and they’re still just a bit low. Once I start riding I have to kind of lift the knee area up about an inch to get them just right. Very happy with these pants, every indication so far is that they’ll be every bit as long-wearing as my Tourmaster Transition 3 jacket that’s now 9 years old and still flawless.

    They work well

Overall they are not bad pants. They need to make the bottoms adjustable so they can fit tight around your boots. It could use a bigger front pocket and pockets for hip pads too. But they do fit well and ventilate as they should.
