    Great Commuter Boot

Overall Klim did a great job with the GTX boot, light, comfortable, with adequate protection for the commute or weekend tour. Unlike most Klim gear, this is NOT a trail/ADV boot, it was designed for the less agressive rides. Sole is amazingly quiet and flexible while walking which is easy to do. Fitment seems to run on the wide side in the upper boot while the toe box is standard size. The Boa lacing system is proven in cycling shoes and hiking boots and makes itself right at home in the GTX. With a pop and pull of the tensioner knob the boots are easily removed. If there is one aspect to pick on, it is the tongue on the left boot is a little stiffer compared to the right. This review is only after two weeks/300 miles of commuting.

    new boot

Have not put to much use, so review is from examination of the boots. They are stiff but the fit is good, with reasonable flex for shifting and brake. Almost to pretty to put to the mud and abuse they will see. The sale price was to good to pass up for a top rated boot, Thanks RMATV.

    Gaerne Boots

A very good boot. It seems well made and durable. I have a high arch and the boot was a bit small. I have a pair of brown boots by Gearne, they are a size 12 as well. They run a size small in the US, but overall a very good boot.

    NOT A CASUAL RIDING BOOT/SHOE

By far the most uncomfortable pair of riding boots out of the box I have ever had on. It has a very narrow toe box. Also where the mesh and leather section connect on top of the boot it pinches when you walk. The leather is EXTREMELY stiff and unforgiving. I got a few steps from my couch and turned around and put them back in the box. My wife bought them for me as a surprise because I have been wanting a pair of casual riding boots I could wear before during and after a ride. These are NOT them.

    Beware of sizing

Sought out these boots and ordered them after much deliberation between another pair that is known for being super comfy and hike-able, but with less protection, and boots with more protection, but less comfort and "hike-ability". I wear a size 10.5 US, 44 in Euro. The size 11 offered here from RMATV is a euro 45, the size 10 is euro 43. After calling RMATV I was advised to order a size 11. Well, the size 11 does not fit well at all, the articulation point in the front of the ankle has excessive bunching on the inside of the boot when bending forward. When I lift my foot, the heel slips up from the insole and I can feel my ankle slip past the achilles supports. I know a size 10 or Euro 43 would be way too small. Size 44 is not available from RMATV. It would be perfect for a 10.5 US. I know that they are available, all the Euro stores have them. It boggles my mind that they are not available here, with 10.5 being the most common foot size and the adventure market being the largest growing segment of motorcycling. I deliberated on this purchase for a long time and was looking forward to having the perfect boot which is not offered here due to sizing. Hopefully my problem can save someone else this issue. The build and quality of these boots seems fantastic. I just wish they fit.
