    Great VAlue

It gets hot here in the summer and this jacket is exactly what I wanted. The jacket keeps you cool while giving you protection. I ordered Hi-Viz and it has held up great. The removable liner is perfect for when it gets a little cooler. Definitely a hot weather jacket though. When it gets cold I switch to my Firstgear Jaunt jacket.

    Really good jacket...

I have had this jacket for several months now, May to Dec. I like it a lot with only a few minor hang ups. Fit is great, Im a large man at 6'2'' and 270lbs. Im working on that. Rode all summer with liner out and it breathes well, I can keep cool in the warm weather of western WA coastal area. all the pads stay put and feel like they will protect me well. Have not had to depend on them for that yet. Color is very bright ( I have day glow yellow) and easy to spot me riding. Winter riding has been good. I was daily rider to and from work until Dec. My biggest gripe is when riding with jacket zipped down a ways at highway speeds the collar snap will flap around and beat my helmet. A LOT. Like drive me friggin crazy, a lot. Have ridden in rain several times and no problems. I have used this for my Search and Rescue missions and after several hours in a steady down pour of rain, riding through puddles and such, it did soak through. These were extreme conditions and Im not sure that there are many jackets that would have done much better. I was warm until I stopped. Cold out side and wet inside is no fun. Riding was fine its the standing around that got me. Temps were in the low 40s to mid 30s. My next jacket will probably be the Battle born ARC jacket. But no regrets about buying this one!

    No Vents, Good Quality

he fit is a little big, so whatever your size is normally, get the next smallest down. Had to give it a 3 rating because it didn't have vents. The worse thing about this Jacket is no vents, which is really a huge disadvantage because they have so much working for the jacket. I'm going to take it in and see if I can get some zippers installed for venting. The neck collar is the next bad thing about this, it is not comfortable at all and can make your neck raw, and I am at the point of putting a piece of cloth in front to make it to make it work well. Otherwise the Jacket seems to be pretty decent quality, Velcro works well, has enough pockets and the padding doesn't seem to be to distracting. I would not buy again, unless it had vents and then I think I would continue to buy it over and over if it did have vents.

  • Firstgear Thermo Suit

    Firstgear Thermo Suit

    Great cold weather suit

Keeping in mind that this was meant to wear over your regular riding gear, it does really well. The zippers and flaps do a great job of keeping the wind and cold out, and the bottom of the legs keep tight against my riding boots, no wind up the pant leg either. I would definitely buy this again if it ever wears out. Good comfort and you just can't beat it for the price.

  • Tourmaster Transition Series 3 Motorcycle Jacket

Tourmaster Transition Series 3 Motorcycle Jacket

    Gregory in CA

I wanted the series2, the 3 seems cheaper

My buddy has the series 2 and it looked like a good compromise enduro jacket (keep you warm, additional zip out liner, fit well, has good protection built in, good ventilation, not cost $500). I looked a t a lot of different brands and to me most of them were lacking some of the features that I wanted. Even the slim jackets didnt seem to cover all the bases. When I went to buy this it was at the series 3, and it looked the same as the two from what I could tell. When I got it it seemed a bit lighter weight fabric than the older series 2. After a few rides and get-offs one of the cinches on the arms tore off. The cinches take up the slack along the arm so the internal padding stays in place, otherwise it would just slide out of the way when you fall. Tourmaster wanted me to return the jacket and RMatv replaced it. I almost feel like I just should have taken the credit and kept looking.
