This tool makes riveting a chain very easy. I just used it for the first time to rivet a DID VT2 x-ring chain. (1st time riveting a chain). I don't know about long term or using it to break a chain. It should be ok. The Motion Pro pins are interchangeable. Tip; get a pocket caliper, $7, to measure the width of the peened pin. DID says .217 to.228 inches. Or about 5.6mm, to be sure you peen it out completely.Read All Reviews

I bought these to impress my friends with the amount of specialty tools for dirt-bike riding. "Wow, you have a clutch adjustment tool for a 75' Hodaka?" If you need the free shipping and your close throw these bad boys in the cart. Or safety wire, allen wrenches, RM t-shirts, HP2 oil, etc... Basically the gum in the check out aisle. Who couldn't use some Juicy Fruit right about now.Read All Reviews

I was replacing my chain with a Primary Drive 520 ORH Gold X-Ring. I wanted to test it out on the old chain since this was my first time using it. Worked without any issues on the old chain. When I went to use it on the new chain, it was more difficult even alternating on between the pins a little at a time. I finally decided to just muscle it even though I was seeing stress on the tool. Finally pushed the pins out but the end of the chain (were I would of been using to connect to the other end of the chain) had expanded just a little (about the size of one of the x-rings) Since I didn't have any more to play with, I decided to use the dremmel tool to grind down the tip of the pin. Once I had it ground down, the tool worked with little effort. Can't tell if the tips on the primary drive chain were a little bigger then normal or what.Read All Reviews
