ATV Chest Protectors

Whether on the track or trail, don’t go unprotected. ATV chest protectors not only protect from roost thrown up by other machines, they can also save you from the pain of that unexpected branch around the corner or that fall you didn’t plan on.

Fortunately, there are plenty of options. Many chest protectors are designed to fit over your jersey, and they are built to look great as well as offer the fortification you need. But not all of them are designed this way, so if you don’t like the idea of obstructing your jersey, don’t sweat it. We also have roost deflectors that can fit underneath your jersey.

Today’s technology enables chest protectors the ability to offer an exceptional level of protection without restricting movement or otherwise making you feel uncomfortable. We’ve got the top brands that are known for quality, including Leatt, EVS, Fox Racing, Thor and many others. Take a look to see for yourself.

    Good and Bad

Bought this chest protector to go with the A-star neck brace. I've been wholly underwhelmed by it since day one and after two years now I mostly wear my old Fox chest protector especially in warm weather. The good first. excellent impact resistance, very heavy duty front, rear and side protection. Works well with A-star neck brace. The bad. Interferes with movement of arms, poor design of shoulder area. Back too long and interferes with pants. Front doesn't conform to the body and feels weird especially when sitting on bike. Very hot and offers little to no ventilation. I will be looking elsewhere next time I'm in the market for body armor.

    Poor Construction

Great designed product but poorly constructed. First one I received the material under the arms tore and the zipper on the elbow pads broke. Contacted Leatt and returned item for replacement. I have worn the new one 2 times and the stitching is coming apart on some of the pads. I love the design and the protection it affords but I wish it was constructed better. It is also very hot to ride in but a trade off for better rib protection.

    Confidence

It is comfortable but the shoulder pads are a little bulky when the collar bone pads are installed which require lock tight. Wearing long-sleeved under armor makes the vest much easier to remove. If it last more than five seasons I will be impressed.

    Looks good, feels good.

It does have one edge that pokes me near the collarbone when I'm wearing a backpack over it, and the arm protectors seem a little small/awkward, but I crash tested it at the track and it held up, no cracks or broken straps and the arm pads definitely helped reduce bruising. Good quality, and it looks cool. I would buy another.
