ATV Gas Tanks

Has your ATV’s fuel tank seen better days? Is it broken? Do you just need a tank with a larger fuel capacity? Are you restoring an old ATV with a tank that has been ruined by gas that was never drained out? Don’t worry; you’ll find the solution to any of these problems in a new ATV gas tank from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC.

We’ve chosen to carry two brands that are renowned in the powersports industry as manufacturers of quality aftermarket fuel tanks. These two names are Clarke and IMS. Each has painstakingly developed ATV fuel tanks that have a larger capacity than stock and are designed to uniquely fit each quad. (Make sure to utilize our Parts Finder to ensure you find a tank that fits your machine properly.)

A new fuel tank will look great on your ATV, but that aspect is only secondary to being able to confidently return to the trails with a fresh tank. There’s nothing quite as nice as new equipment to replace something that isn’t quite up to par. As an ATV rider, you want to be able to get as many quality hours of riding as you can, and a new tank will help you do that. Browse our selection now.

    Acerbis is superior

Over the years Clarke and IMS tanks have been hit or miss for me. 2 Clarke tanks (one for 07 YZ125 and one for 07 WR450) required that I take a belt sander to the petcock mounting surface because brand new the surface was not even close to flat and allowed the petcock gasket to leak. Besides this issues there is the cap quality, it is terrible. Between myself and other riders I know almost all of our caps have cracked, even when barely tightening them because we know that they crack. On my cap that didn't crack the gasket failed prematurely. So if you purchase a Clarke tank be prepared to do what Clarke should have done before leaving the factory (belt sander) and don't be upset when you crack your cap or your gasket fails, even when you never over tighten it. Then be prepared to pay top dollar for a replacement cap from Clarke that is no better than the original and will crack again. OR just buy Acerbis who produces tank perfection.

It was much bulkier than the picture portrayed. If you don't mind the bulk, the quality was good.
