Womens Dual Sport Jackets

When it comes to choosing a dual sport jacket, the selection available to you is just about as diverse as the options of places to ride are. Manufacturers have fully embraced the surge of women who have taken to riding motorcycles by providing more motorcycle jackets tailored specifically for the female physique. This is great news, because women who ride are less likely to compromise on safety now that it is much easier to find great gear that not only provides great protection, but allows you to look like a lady too! At Rocky Mountain ATV/MC, we’ve expanded our selection of womens dual sport and adventure jackets to offer you a wide variety to choose from so that you can find the perfect jacket to fit your taste and riding style.

Although the look of your gear is important, the first order of business you should consider when buying a jacket is how much protection it offers. The different type or level of protection you are looking for might differ depending on the terrain you spend most of your time riding on and the type of adventure riding you do. If you spend any time off road at all, you will want to make sure that you look into impact protection. If you ride on more rugged terrain, chances are high that you will tip over from time to time. As long as you have quality gear, most of those tip overs are just minor delays in your ride. Most dual sport jackets have armor added into high impact areas, or at least have places to put armor if you purchase some. If it is mostly street where you ride, you definitely want to look in to abrasion protection. Going down while you’re on the road usually means you will have been going fast enough to skid. High quality, abrasion-resistant fabrics are very important to wear so that you can receive as much protection from the pavement as possible.

There are many other features built into dual sport jackets, and a great place to see what each jacket includes is in the product details. You’ll almost always find a set of bullet points that highlight a list of specific details, which can help you decide whether or not a jacket is correct for your needs. You’ll find high quality jackets from great brands like:

  • Alpinestars
  • Arctiva
  • Firstgear
  • HMK
  • Icon
  • Klim
  • Olympia
  • REV’IT
  • Scorpion
  • Spidi
  • Tourmaster

Adventure riding is one of the best ways to experience the beautiful surroundings around you. When you have a great jacket that is ready for whatever adventure awaits, the sky becomes the limit when it comes to what you can see and experience on two wheels. Check out our selection of ladies dual sport jackets to find the ideal design for you.

    Runs Very Small!

Thanks to RM for the worry-free exchange. I'm usually a Medium everything, and fit in men's size 32 pants. However, I bought a Large in this jacket based on the chest measurements, which should have allowed plenty of room everywhere. Not so, couldn't get it on with the liner, even with just a Tshirt underneath. With liner removed, got it on, but really tight in the hips and chest. The jacket itself looks really well built, with soft lining around the collar for scratch-free wear. The shoulder and elbow guards are light, enough to offer a bit of protection but not too much to feel like a straightjacket. I like the pockets placed well for gloved opening/closing. I can't wait to get the X(!)-Large and test it. Will post an update! Update: Ultimately giving it 3 stars. Quality and workmanship is unmistakable. Female fit, not so much. You'll need to be small in the hips and chest to enjoy this jacket. I removed the spine and shoulder protectors as well as the liner, and it fits, but still feels like it was originally designed for a man's straight-up-n-down figure. Purchased it for wet Pacific NW dirt riding, and it will do fine, so I'm keeping it. Final update. Sadly, no matter how bad I wanted to love this jacket, it just wasn't fitting. I returned for a refund. Big thx to RMATV for the no-hassle return policy. I love A-star stuff and wanted to like it, but this was not working. If you're a straight up-n-down figure, go for it. Curvy? Keep searching. C'mon manufacturers, girls ride too, and need stuff that fits.

    Cheap KTM gear

I wanted a cheap KTM back pack. So I put this patch on a $20 back pack from Wal-Mart. The patch is a nice quality and has held up very well to the abuse I've put it through.
