Avon Trailrider Tire
Great tire for my type of riding , mostly street with some fire trails and gravel roads. They are quiet with good wet and dry grip. Have a set on my 2009 Versys and 2016 Super Tenere.

Great tire for rare dirt excursions
I got 5000 miles out of 2 rears, using the same front through both of them. I did light touring with mixed cruising-twisty day rides on these, no long days on the superslab. My offroad experience was limited, but very good. I was caught on a dirt county road shorty after a mag-chloride mix was applied, which made for an uncomfortably slick top layer for 5 miles, which these tires handled great. Regular dirt is fine without a hot wrist. The on-road grip was very good IMO, the feedback was less than other sportier tires. Slight squaring off the rears at time of replacement, but it was a rounder flat area in the rear, the dual compound helped it from become so square it ruins the handling. Front is nearing needing to be replaced at 10k, there is some 'scalloping' of the tread, handing has not been affected. FYI for any buyer, these tires are louder than street tires, slight hum will be noticeable under 65 mph. Ran 33-36 front and 38-42 rear based on load.

V Strom touring
I ride mostly commuter and ride dirt fire roads when I can get out of the city. Rear tire started with 5.5MM tread depth I have 4k on it after touring with 80 lbs of gear up the california coast and down the Sierra Nevada's. Center has harder compound than the sides. Three mm left on tread depth. I expect to get 8-9k out of the rear. Taken it on some rough gravel with a load without any issues. Pro Comfortable, no buzz confident on the pavement corners. Conservative on dirt roads. Really happy with the tire for everyday use. No wet traction experience other than a stream crossing. I have no negatives to mention. Will buy again.

So far very impressed
I only have just over 1000 miles on them so I can't give a complete review yet. I put them on a KTM Super Adventure as a replacement for the Continentals that came on it. The Avons handle just ad good on pavement and are way better in the gravel. If I can get a decent amount of miles on these I'll be sticking with them.

Great so far.
2016 HONDA Africa Twin CRF1000L--

Can't tell a lot from only 300 miles or so, but these replaced some Motoz Tractionators that I don't want to wear out on the road. The tires mounted up pretty easily for doing this n the driveway, except for one spot on the front that would not seat. Took the front and rear to a local bike parts store to get spin balanced and they used tirenlube to get it to seat. Balanced very easily. Turns in much quicker, of course. They are a little louder than the Dunlop Trailsmart tires that we're stock. But I don't mind it, it's not bad at all. They lean well, and seem to have good grip. Only been on dry pavement, so far, but others say they are good in the wet.
If they last like a lot of others say, then great. If not, still a good deal.
Search earth-roamers blogspot for a really good test across Europe to Thailand. They say it all.

Avon Trailrider rear
The rear tread is deep. The tires are great so far. They definitely ride rougher than my Dunlop Sportmax (street tire). I expect a long tread life. I'm riding a Versys 650 and I use it primarily on tarmac and bitumen, some hardpack, and some gravel. I

Kawasaki Versys 650 with Avon Trailriders
Definite difference over the stock Dunlop's. The Avon Trailrider's DO actually promote confidence in your riding. I was sceptical, but I could actually feel the difference in handling and traction.

Great tire for my Ulysses
Put these tires on my Buell Ulysses of which I do a lot of back reed riding. They handle the tarmac well and also the dirt. I would agree that they are a 90/10 tire (on road/off road). As I mostly ride back roads I didn't need a more aggressive tire. I just changed tires from Dunlop scorpion. Need to put some more miles on for a true report but quite a few people who run Avon tires stay with them

Best All-Taker tire
I've now got 86,000 miles on my daily commuter Suzuki V-Strom DL 650. I ride all year, all weather (though try to cage it if there's ice) in Virginia. I cover some gravel, endless pavement - with sand / salt in the winter, ample rain often, leaves, road debris, winds, etc. I'm mostly on two-lane country roads (lucky me, it's a great commute). I usually change tires with what is new and hot each year, so I've tried quite a few. I get at least 12,000 miles on a rear tire before it's gone. I use Ride-On tire sealant which makes tires wear longer. These are the best all around tire I've tried for front and rear. Low noise, good feel, quick warm-up, great grip, eats up hard pack gravel and rough roads, smooth on asphalt, self-clearing tread, great on a hard lean. Wear quicker than other tires, but, worth it. Made in Britain - which has weather like Virginia I guess since they nailed it.

Has anyone else have cracking issues down the center tread? I have rode on these for almost 60miles and its starting to crack down the center. I have these mounted on a Suzuki 400s

BEST ANSWER: I have the Avon trailrider Tyres on my wr supermoto and have not had any issue maybe try contacting Avon and see if they have had any issue and can help you out , note if tires are left out side for a while they will start to dry rot wheather you have 10 miles or 1500 miles but would have to sit out side for a while
