Good tire, not sure how long it will last though
I’ve only ridden on this tire one day so far but it got good traction and held corners well. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 just because there is more wear on the knobs after one ride than I expected to be there so it might not last as long as I was hoping. Time will tell though.

Solid tire
Got the hard terrain tire on sale. Great price and the tire is performing very well. Traction is good and hooks up nicely. Durability is good so far. I do mostly trail riding in southern Utah, which includes a lot of rocks.
I was worried because I've run the Maxxis Desert IT for years, but I didn't see them available on the website.
I don't have any complaints with this tire, it's working great and holding up well.

Bridgestone Battlecross X40
Have used this tire on my 250SX on the moto tracks of SoCal. Many of our tracks usually have a mix of clay in them and are a little sloppy in the morning and as hard as concrete in the afternoon. The X40 works pretty good in the softer morning slop but really excels when the dirt starts to dry out to nice loam. It also works well when the clay turns to concrete.

Wear with these tires is amazing. So amazing I put one on my 450SXF and figured I'd burn the thing off pretty quickly on these hard tracks but it has worn very well. I have almost 15 hours on the 450 tire and you can still clearly see the Castle Blocks.

I took it to a sandy track and even though it isn't designed for the really soft stuff it worked much better than I thought it would. Traction out of the deep sandy corners wasn't as good as a soft terrain tire but it worked pretty darned good.

Worst Tire I've used
I live in Arizona and everything is slippery hard pack with sharp rocks. This tire brand new felt like it had 0 traction. It only held up for 7ish hours and was extremely stiff feeling. I will not use this tire again.

My Go-To Tire for Desert and Baja
I love the Intermediate X-30 for my 300 XCW, but I thought I'd try the X-40 for my 4-stroke 500 XCW. Wow. Amazing tire - - No chunking at all, no side knobs peeling off, and tread life is excellent. After a 1,000 mile in Baja on a fresh 500cc XCW, no flats, no chunking, and the rear tire is only half worn. The front still looks semi-new. Rear hooks-up about the same as the Pirelli Scorpion but lasts quite a bit longer. Front is very close to the Scorpion, but lasts A LOT longer. Better than any Dunlops currently available, both in terms of longevity and traction. This is an excellent all-around tire combo for hard-terrain/desert/rocks. High value for the money because they last so long. I only gave it 4 stars for Traction & handling because, well, ALL hard terrain tires give up a little traction in return for longevity on nasty, hard terrain. The X-40 strikes a great balance.

I've raced on the 404 series tires for years. These are a improvement. A great tire for Dual sport. Great grip , long wearing and doesn't sing much when on pavement.

I love this rear tire
Very impressed with this tire in Intermediate to loamy conditions. The tire has shown good wear characteristic in the past.
I took advantage of the cash back and the value became an even better deal.

Great tire, great price!!!
1st Time trying this tire, heard good things about it and thought I’d give it a try, so far I’ve been impressed, easy to install, great hook up in hard rocky terrain, and seems to be holding up well, I expect to get a lot of hours out of it!!!

Which size recommended for trail riding...what do people prefer?
A shopper on Aug 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Depends. If you aren’t a big aggressive rider on a big bike (450 or bigger) I
would recommend the smaller 110/100. Big fast guys on big fast bikes often prefer 120/100s.

I ride a Husky 350 on Tecate single track and really like the Battlecross.
What should the tire pressure be if I ride in sand and rocks and loose and hard dirt be?
A shopper on Nov 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I am a 200 lbs rider and I wear a Camelback with tools that weighs a good 10+ lbs. I am on my third set of these tires. I run 12 psi with a heavy duty tube and haven't had a single issue. And that is in all types of terrain including very sharp and rocky.
What size is perferred?
nancy m on Aug 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Help us out here. It would be helpful to know what size bike it is going on. You wouldn't want to put a 450 tire on a 125.
Is this a good tire to stud up for ice racing?
roy s on Nov 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Don't know much about ice racing but the carcass and knobs are extremely hard if that helps. Not much flex at all. In the desert I run just 10 psi back and front because it is so stiff and to allow it to soak up some of the hits.
How much does the 110/100/18 weigh?
Gregory E on Jul 13, 2019
BEST ANSWER: About 12 lbs+\- 1
