quality and a good price??
Welll...my buddy crashed a few times today in the rain on a new set of Sedonas. I had a few bobbles but kept it upright. I haven't ripped off any knobbies yet either. The last tire on my bike was a cheng shin...garbage. day 1 with the old tire there were at least 10 knobbies missing. Obviously I'm pretty satisfied after 4 good rides and 99% of my rubber left

The PERFECT TIRE FOR WEST COAST TRAILS
I ride RENO, and CA the national forest in norcal.. you name it.

I don't like to blow through tires.. this is the hardest rubber Bridgestone makes.. some people hate on it.

Sure if you want to swap tires out every month get the x20.. I DO like the x30 but the x40 lasts a long time of hard riding. 20 hours and its still on.. VALUE at its finest. (nobbies are half life im still going to ride and see how long it lasts)

GOOD BUY dont let the idiots tell you differently.

Bridgestone tires
I bought the bridgestone x40 rear and x30 front for my xr650r. They are great. No issues no flats through rocks mud and dirty riverbed trails. Good traction and don’t wear out too quickly running on the road

Good desert tire with stiff carcass
Large 18" rear has a good hookup and long wearing compound. Solid rocky desert tire and good knob setup. Not fully sold on the cooling rib concept but it is not shedding knobs or cracking at the knob bases.

Great performance tire
I’ve been using Shinko 216 front and 505 back.
The Battlecross is an outstanding front tire. Simply put, it’s conf inspiring. Hard terrain traction is strong and provides excellent feedback. Sidewalls offer great support running 8 pounds on a Tubliss system. This tire has over 600 miles on it with nearly 80 ridden very hard over Arizona volcanic cracked sharp rocks and it was the boss.
Same goes for the rear. Excellent acceleration on hard terrain but if you want a lasting tire, it’s the wrong tire for the AZ sharp rocks.

X40 Battlecrooss rear
This is the first other than Dunlop tire I have ever purchased for motocross. I love the durability of the mx-52 , but this tire is every bit as good in every way including price ! I took a chance and am glad I did !

Only buy them if ya send them to me!
First off I’m bias I haven’t had a Bridgestone off road tire let me down... ever.
That said the X40 series Battlecross tire set is outstanding. I live in Colorado and literally have trails out my door, I ride 3-5 days a week usually 2.5-6 hour rides. Terrain is Rocky Mountain ?? variable meaning everything from bike swallowing mud to slick rock In one ride.
Tire performs excellent in all conditions deep sand and side slope mud being it’s weakest area of performance. Every where else it shines! Durability is fantastic easily going 500+ miles, my last set was on the bike for 750+ miles and still has life. And I only run 6-8 psi in my tires
Highly recommend

Good tire, not sure how long it will last though
I’ve only ridden on this tire one day so far but it got good traction and held corners well. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 just because there is more wear on the knobs after one ride than I expected to be there so it might not last as long as I was hoping. Time will tell though.

Solid tire
Got the hard terrain tire on sale. Great price and the tire is performing very well. Traction is good and hooks up nicely. Durability is good so far. I do mostly trail riding in southern Utah, which includes a lot of rocks.
I was worried because I've run the Maxxis Desert IT for years, but I didn't see them available on the website.
I don't have any complaints with this tire, it's working great and holding up well.

Which size recommended for trail riding...what do people prefer?
A shopper on Aug 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Depends. If you aren’t a big aggressive rider on a big bike (450 or bigger) I
would recommend the smaller 110/100. Big fast guys on big fast bikes often prefer 120/100s.

I ride a Husky 350 on Tecate single track and really like the Battlecross.
What should the tire pressure be if I ride in sand and rocks and loose and hard dirt be?
A shopper on Nov 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I am a 200 lbs rider and I wear a Camelback with tools that weighs a good 10+ lbs. I am on my third set of these tires. I run 12 psi with a heavy duty tube and haven't had a single issue. And that is in all types of terrain including very sharp and rocky.
Which would be best for Nevada rocky, sandy desert ?

Bridgestone Battlecross X30 Intermediate Terrain Tire
BEST ANSWER: In a way, this is almost a no win question. I believe you should consider what ytpe of soils the majority of your riding will be in. Then match that. I ride in the Nevada desert where the majority of the soils are either solid rock, or large chunky broken up rock. These areas are in between washes where there is more of a sandy soil mixed with small pebble sized rocks. For me, the majority is the harder rock with some broken larger rocks. The Battlecross X40 works very well in this type of terrain. Admittedly, it is not the greatest in the sandy washes, but it works best for the overall combination. Hope this helps
What size is perferred?
nancy m on Aug 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Help us out here. It would be helpful to know what size bike it is going on. You wouldn't want to put a 450 tire on a 125.
Is this a good tire to stud up for ice racing?
roy s on Nov 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Don't know much about ice racing but the carcass and knobs are extremely hard if that helps. Not much flex at all. In the desert I run just 10 psi back and front because it is so stiff and to allow it to soak up some of the hits.
which nitro mousse (std) fits this tire? -Battlecross X40 90/100/21
Richard P on Dec 10, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately, I am not showing a size of mousse for this tire.
How much does the 110/100/18 weigh?
