These work awesome in hardpack snow and on ice. Very easy to install, probably takes at most an hour per tire if you have an impact or screw gun. I don't recommend using a hybrid/gummy tire however as it's softness means you will loose screws. I would also not recommend going over logs or rocks - again, screws will come out. One 500 count box of 1/2 screws was more than enough for both tires. I've used a little bit of superglue on each screw to help them stay in.Read All Reviews

If you use these rim locks, be sure to use caution to not pinch the inner tube. The deal is, that these are so much smaller that the inner tube won't push them out when you inflate the inner tube. Instead, the inner tube can wrap around the rim lock and get pinched between the tire and the rim lock. When you tighten the rimlock's nut, you will be destroying your inner tube. With a standard rim lock, the large flexible rubber will serve to prevent this situation. That all said, thumbs down.Read All Reviews

These are a great little item to add to your bike for not a whole lot of money. Will you ride faster, climb better, or wheelie longer than when you didn't have them? No. But they look nice, are very solid, and it's nice to have the valve core remover built right in at tire changing time!Read All Reviews
