I can stress how great of a tire this is
I know that everyone is hot to trot for the latest Moto Z but STOP! The D606 is seriously tried and true. You wont find a better tire for the value. I put these bad Larry's through their paces in the gnarliest of woods in New England. My bike and I were kept upright and out of the ditch by either the grace of god or the superior engineering of these rubbers. Don't follow the trend, grab yourself the D606 and lead the influencers.

D606 Rear is good. Front let’s go too easy off road
I put a matching set of D606 tires on my XR650L. First of all, I’m a dirt rider. I only ride roads to get to trails. I ride in Michigan on mostly packed black dirt or loose sand. The rear seems fine. It spins a lot on the gas but it’s predictable and drives ahead well. I pulled the front off after my first trip and tossed it in the corner. I might even give it away. On hard dirt roads in corners the front would start to slip just a bit and then let go completely. In the sandy Michigan trails it would start to slip during corner entry as you apply pressure on the bars and then let go causing front over steer and a plowing action. Not good. I put 150mi of trail and dirt road on it. I switched my front to a Shinko MX215 90/90 and it was way better on road and off road. 800 miles later after completing the Mccct trail the shinko was looking good still along with my rear d606. I recommend that combo but will never buy a front d606 again. It may be ok for the occasional dirt guys looking for a knobby to use on fire roads but I don’t recommend it. Not even for dirt roads. There are better options.

Nice DOT DS TIre
I installed D606's front and rear on my CRF250 for an upcoming dual sport ride. They look great and I'm eager to try them out. Looking forward to getting some pavement and dirt miles on them.

Dunlop Dual Sport D606 Front and Rear Tire...BEST ALL AROUND Asphalt/Mud/Rock/Dirt/Sand
I bought my XR650R very well used; (ridden hard/put away wet) and it came with completely worn out Dunlop D606 Front and Rear. Since then I've done a lot to restore its performance; and one thing I've noticed is that the original owner had really put all the right equipment on to begin with. These D606's are no exception. All my riding requires asphalt to get to the dirt. I've ridden in Baja, Arizona, Oregon, Utah, and all over my home State of Western Washington and the Cascade Mountains. I run them at 15psi and they seem to be great all around. I wish they'd last longer but then they wouldn't be as good offroad. I dont always like to park my van with all my belongings at the trailhead of some remote area to go for a rip. So like I said, Asphalt is my friend too. When I finally get to the dirt road, and then of course hopefully onto at least some challenging technical terrain, these D606's have handled it all. The tires are better than the rider...lol... I'd give it 5 stars for handling, wear, etc...but you can't have it all. I had one front flat in the Arizona desert this Spring. I wanted to blame it on a cactus but as it turned out it was my own fault for pinching the tube on installation. I replaced the tube with a Michelin Ultra Heavy Duty this time...I've found that the extra weight is better than a pinch flat and I don't even notice the weight. I for sure would reccomend the Dunlop D606 for the best all round 50/50 Dual Sport type tire. No doubt!

Great tread great lifetime
They last me about a year on the back and 1.5 years on the front. 2000-3000 miles/yr on dirt and pavement. super happy with the tread and it lasts well on the road.

Awesome Dual Sport Off Road Tire
This tire GRABS and has raised my confidence level. Also handles pretty well on the pavement. Not sure about tread life as it hasn't been on long but I really don't care as it helps me with the mud and sand.

Bad bead
-m-2018 KTM 250 EXC-F--
Rear tire won’t stay on the bead as soon as you accelerate it pulls of the bead. It bean installed by a good shop I thought they messed it up at first had them remount the tire. came home put it back on and it came right off as soon as I accelerated. I’ve tried resetting the bead twice myself and it still comes off every time . Going to remount it and let it sit over night with a good bit off psi in and see if it helps. But I have zero confidence in this tire. Running the tire at 20 psi . Rim is almost new.

Great match for the KLR 650
So far I have put over 250 miles on the D606. Mostly on dirt roads and mountain trails. Handled everything I encountered with ease. Only traveled roughly 50 paved miles on this tire. The paved road I traveled is filled with tight curves and posted speeds ranging from 45 to 60 mph. I experienced absolutely no handling issues.

Dunlop D606 handles all the mountain trails and dirt roads well.
D606 performed good on the limited curved paved roads I travel here in Colorado.

I have a 2019 CRF 450L with 3000 miles on the stock IRC and its toast. Wanna upgrade to this D606 but with a 130 vice the 120....any thoughts?
Easy E on Sep 22, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The 606 is a great tire, I can get about 1,000 miles out of a rear on my xr650r on mixed dual sport surfaces, its plated
How do they handle in the mud? Does mud stick to tire?
A shopper on Aug 28, 2018
BEST ANSWER: These do the best at off road, for a dual sport tire, IMO. The blocks are spaced far enough that they don't cake up too bad. I use them riding trails in East TN, special kinda mud that sticks to everything!
Can the D606 be ran with the Nuetech Tubliss Gen 2.0 Motorcycle Tire System?
vincent n on Aug 30, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes. Works great. Both the tire and tubliss system are recommendable.
I know Pirelli MT21 front & Dunlop D606 rear make a great pair. In my experience IRC TR8 front & Kenda K772 rear is much better. Anyone else with same or similar views? I wish RM would carry these models as well. Please consider RM.

Pirelli MT21 Rallycross Dual Sport Front Motorcycle Tire
BEST ANSWER: I can’t give any feedback on the MT21 front but our experience with the D606’s F & R on our bikes (KTM 2-690’s, 500 exc) always served us well doing 2 UT & COBDR’s. We run them in a circle planning 11-12 days riding 2500 miles. The 606’s perform great in rain, mud, rocks, and Utah silt/sand.
What is the durometer reading of the D606 tires?
