One above the rest!
Definitely a great DOT to do the tuff stuff. Here in Vt we get a lot a wet conditions, and if you have a dual sport that needs to do it all I would not want anything else on my rear wheel!

About as aggressive as you can get
I put these tires on my wr250r and showed my cousin who rides dirt bikes and he thought they were dirt bike tires, not DOT. But they are DOT. Must be just barely. I think these will give you about the most aggressive tread you can find in a DOT tire. Take it easy when breaking hard or cornering on pavement, especially wet pavement.

decided to see what all the hype was about
decent tire for the road. dont wear as fast as say a kenda trackmasterII. but expensive compared to the kenda also. yes there are better off road tires out there but for a DOT rated tire they do well. there is a reason they are so popular

on a dr 650 or the bush pig.
a good off road tire for a 400 pound plus dual sport bike.
handles ok on road as long as you are not trying to keep up with sport bikes. As usual for a motorcycle tire, mileage is less than stellar. Good bang for the buck.

Great for Dual Sporting to get to the trails!
Replaced stock tire on my 2012 XR 650L with these tires. So much better off road then stock. I ride straight to the trails and back. Keep in mind these are knobby tires and are not designed for long rides on the road. Sure it can be done and they will last somewhat but it will be a shaky at high speeds of 50mph plus. Want to keep it street legal? These are DOT and will hold up to street use compared to any other tire. Think I have around 2k on mine and still have decent tread. Note that it is all a sacrifice. These are not going to be as good as dedicated knobbies! It is a great balance though.

Best money can by.
D606 is the only tire I run on my KLR and now on my 690r. Though the life isn't as long as some the traction on/off road is great. Here in the rockies it handles the diverse terrain with no issues. You can't beat the price

Great DS tire
I use these on two KLRs when I know I am going to be mostly offroad. They are pretty good on every surface but shine on gravel and dirt. For a more 50/50 tire I like The TKC 80 for its road manners, but with a trip on the T.W.A.T. coming up I will be spooning on one of these babies!

Great dual sport tire
I've tried several other tire brands and models over the past fifteen years and the D606 is the best DOT approved. Great traction and longevity both on and off highway.

How do they handle in the mud? Does mud stick to tire?
A shopper on Aug 28, 2018
BEST ANSWER: These do the best at off road, for a dual sport tire, IMO. The blocks are spaced far enough that they don't cake up too bad. I use them riding trails in East TN, special kinda mud that sticks to everything!
I know Pirelli MT21 front & Dunlop D606 rear make a great pair. In my experience IRC TR8 front & Kenda K772 rear is much better. Anyone else with same or similar views? I wish RM would carry these models as well. Please consider RM.

Pirelli MT21 Dual Sport Rallycross Front Motorcycle Tire
Pirelli MT21 Dual Sport Rallycross Front Motorcycle Tire
BEST ANSWER: I can’t give any feedback on the MT21 front but our experience with the D606’s F & R on our bikes (KTM 2-690’s, 500 exc) always served us well doing 2 UT & COBDR’s. We run them in a circle planning 11-12 days riding 2500 miles. The 606’s perform great in rain, mud, rocks, and Utah silt/sand.
Will these tires fit my 2013 ttr 230?
