Great match for the KLR 650
So far I have put over 250 miles on the D606. Mostly on dirt roads and mountain trails. Handled everything I encountered with ease. Only traveled roughly 50 paved miles on this tire. The paved road I traveled is filled with tight curves and posted speeds ranging from 45 to 60 mph. I experienced absolutely no handling issues.

Dunlop D606 handles all the mountain trails and dirt roads well.
D606 performed good on the limited curved paved roads I travel here in Colorado.

D606. Mileage and more.
The 606 is a great tire. I run it on my xr650l and preforms well. Haven't tried anything else so far because it works as I would hope. Long lasting and holds rock and mud well

Dunlop 606 tires
I have used 606s on several bikes for the last few years and logged many thousands of miles on them. For my use, adventure touring, there is no better tire. I only wish they were not so expensive.

It's as good as the people on the web say
This tire performs enough on the street where I deem it acceptable. I tried other non DOT approved rear tires like the scorpion, and that tire is a death trap on the street. You can lean within reason on this tire, but still be careful!

Greatist rear tire ever?
idk if it's the greatest ever but it's amazing for how I ride and the best I've tried yet i ride mostly off road so it fit's the bill very well so much traction you can follow my line miles into the trail on a straight line.

I'd call it a 80% dirt tire
Let's face it, dual-sport bikes are always a compromise, dirt-performance vs. street. I went through 2 sets of these on my TE610 and got to know the characteristics pretty well.

They up nicely in medium & hard terrain, mostly proper dirt-bike traction. Mud is ok, but they work better in dry areas.

They also survived a 8-day Baja adventure. Mostly desert, lots of sand, with a good stretch of slab.

For desert riding, they did ok, but the sidewalls are a bit thin compared to the Dunlop 908.

On the street they're mediocre, but that's the trade-off. They're sketchy in the rain, mediocre braking, and slide around a bit in the corners. Plus they're loud on my bike.

I got about 3,500 mi before the rear was worn down, and the front started cupping.

But for the price, mileage, and off road performance, I'd recommend.

Great dot knobby. I run this on my 600, and it lasts great. Very consistent traction both on and off road.

One above the rest!
Definitely a great DOT to do the tuff stuff. Here in Vt we get a lot a wet conditions, and if you have a dual sport that needs to do it all I would not want anything else on my rear wheel!

How do they handle in the mud? Does mud stick to tire?
A shopper on Aug 28, 2018
BEST ANSWER: These do the best at off road, for a dual sport tire, IMO. The blocks are spaced far enough that they don't cake up too bad. I use them riding trails in East TN, special kinda mud that sticks to everything!
I know Pirelli MT21 front & Dunlop D606 rear make a great pair. In my experience IRC TR8 front & Kenda K772 rear is much better. Anyone else with same or similar views? I wish RM would carry these models as well. Please consider RM.

Pirelli MT21 Rallycross Dual Sport Front Motorcycle Tire
BEST ANSWER: I can’t give any feedback on the MT21 front but our experience with the D606’s F & R on our bikes (KTM 2-690’s, 500 exc) always served us well doing 2 UT & COBDR’s. We run them in a circle planning 11-12 days riding 2500 miles. The 606’s perform great in rain, mud, rocks, and Utah silt/sand.
Will these tires fit my 2013 ttr 230?

Can I get this tire in a 140/80-18 or 140/90-18?
A shopper on Jan 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately we do not have this tire in a 140 size. The largest we carry is a 130/90x18.
