Wow, its like having 2 wheel drive when navigating through nasty uphill terrain. The wear is ok, that is because the terrain in the Arizona desert is very abrasive. This tire did not chunk out. If you need traction you may want to consider this tire.

Bets tire out there.
This is simply the best front tire ever. I’ve used all kinds of different tires, but none of them seemed to do it. This tire grips into the ground like no other and it goes where you want it. It’s predictable and it wears very slowly and it’s absolutely awesome and worth every penny. I recommend the 100/80 for enduro/ xc racing.

Fatty front, more durable than the Shinko
Cost nearly 2x as much as the Shinko fatty but lasts twice as long. Hate changing tires so I'd rather it last then need replacement. Resists chunking unlike the Shinko.

If you try it. Then you may just become addicted.
I usually run the Dunlop mx33. It does really good for maybe two races then. It starts washing out in the hard high speed curves. But with this tire I have run two races without a single wash out. The roots and rocks is where this tire absolutely shines. The tire is able to flex alittle more over the obstacles. And that being said it is a great boost of confidence. I can ride a lot harder longer with this tire. This is definitely a good choice from harescrambles to hard enduro.

great tire
i love these tires, so much extra cusion it feels like new suspension in the front, traction it good, my only complaint now is that discovered the shinko fat tyre at a fraction of the price and its the exact same tire that performs and holds up just as well.

Best Front Tire
This is my new go to tire replacing the trusted M59. It last double as long, grip is exceptional, and adds bump compliance.

A Great overall front tire
This has preformed well from rock, to sand to hard packed dirt roads. I run this with a Tubliss which makes it even better.

is the 90/100x21 GoldenTyre GT216AA Enduro Tire a 2 ply or 4 ply tire?
Glenn G on Jan 31, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This is a 2-ply tire.
Will the fatty 90/100 21 fit a 2015 KTM 300 XCW that runs a 80/100 21 stock front tire size? Will it fit between the fork guards without rubbing?
Customer on Dec 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No problems on my 2008 and never heard of any issues on any bike. Swapped mine to a YZ and no problems. I'd say the height is more difference than width. Can compensate with forks in triples if you find it slows the steering down too much for you.
What is the dot speed rating?
Mario M on Sep 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It is a 57R, So that's a load rating of 507 lbs, and a speed rating of 106 mph.
can I buy the GOP3176DST 90/100-21 Fatty: 4-ply through Rocky Mountain?
Glenn G on Feb 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We do not carry the 4-ply version of this tire. Only the 2-ply.
Is this a BIGGER tire? its advertised as the Fatty but it shows the same sizes as everything else. Looking for a taller tire or 20" front wheel. Sick of bending front wheels.
Tyler P on Jun 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The foot print of the tire is bigger than most front tires. I have the "fatty" in the 90/100-21. It works great, is stable and absorbs trail junk really well.
Western Oregon woods rider, mainly single track. Sometimes rocky, rutted, roots, and often muddy.
Want to know which, (80, or 90) cross section to use on my YZ250?
jim l on Jun 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I used the 80 on my YZ450f and it works great! The worse the terrain, the better it gets. This tire shines everywhere. Many of the guys like the 90, but I have not tried it. I have ridden in wet, rocky, rooted and this past weekend slimy mud, and never felt like I would be laying on the ground. It is pretty predictable, tracks good and I could make tight turns and not feel like would wash out. I think you would be happy with either the 80 or 90.
What is the best rear tire to pair with this front?
A shopper on Mar 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I run Pirelli xc on the rear and I am happy with the traction.
Is this tire dot approved?
Joseph G on Jan 19, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The 90/100-21 is DOT approved. I would assume the 80/100-21 is also, since they are both endure tires.
What rear tire would be best paired with the GT216AA front?
MICHAEL S on Mar 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The GT 333 is a great rear tire
Will the 90/100x21 fatty fit a current generation KTM 690 Enduro/Husky 701?
A shopper on Oct 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes it will fit. But it is a soft coumpond. I have a 701 and i tried it and i did not like the feeling. But on my Enduro bike TE250 2017 i love it. It is made for single track use and technical.
Will the 80/100x21 tube fit the fatty tire?
Craig M on Aug 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it will fit. The tire would normally use a 90/100X21 tube, and the 80/100X21 tube is 10mm smaller at normal running pressure (~ 12 psi), so it will fit. The small downside to using a 80/100X21 tube in a Fatty is that the tube wall will be stretched thinner to occupy the tire volume at normal running pressure.
What is the difference between the Golden Tyre GT216AA and the GT216HBN? Both of these are offered by Rocky Montain, but the difference isn't clear from the product description.
Curtis J on Apr 30, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Looks like the difference is the AA is a front tire and the HBN is a rear tire. Never tried the rear tire, but the front is amazing.
Is this tire recommended to do the us continental dived Montana to mexico?
Andrew V on Sep 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I've put about 800 miles on mine doing highway speeds, hard enduro, sand and it does everything amazingly. Says max speed is right around 90 I think, so if you're not pushing it that fast, it's a great tire. Haven't seen any chunking and the wear life is a lot better than I was expecting. So I say yeah this tire would do it, especially if you plan on hitting some hard trails along the way
I have used the Goldentyre GT216AAHB for a few years, I just ordered the GT216AA from you and it does not have HB after the AA. Same size, the Fatty- 90-/100/21. IT also has the Goldentyre logo in white on the side- I have not seen that in my other ones. Is this the same tire? Not sure what the HB means.or lack of it.
Gary C on Mar 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I'm not sure if there's any difference between the GT216AA and the GT216AAHB. It's probably something as simple as removing two letters at the end of the name to simplify it. I was unable to find any information from Goldentyre.
Is this the 57R?
chad e on Feb 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the tire has 57R printed on it, speed rating of 106mph
What date codes are currently shipping? Do they have the white logo on the sidewall?
Jared B on Sep 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: All of our tires will be 3 years old or newer. Yes, they have the white logos on it.
Is this the Gen 5 216?
Brent H on Jul 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Good all around tire one of my favorites
