      SAFETY

Inspect and check tire pressure often. This is the most important tire-maintenance function you can perform. Refer to your machine's documentation for proper maintenance. Always give tires a gentle "run-in" period of 100 miles to get the feel of new tires--this means they should not be subjected to maximum power, abrupt lean-over, hard cornering, etc. Always match the front and rear tires for optimal handling, safety and performance. Mixing radials, or mixing radials with bias or belted-bias tires, may adversely affect handling and stability.

      WARNING

The charts and information on this page do not imply interchangeability. Consult your machine's manual to determine correct replacements, clearances, compatibility and stability, load-bearing capacity, speed rating, radial vs. non-radial, pattern and tread compound requirements, inflation recommendations and front-to-rear tire matching. Wrong selection can result in tire failure or loss of control with serious injury or death.

    Ok front tire
I have about 4400 miles on the E07 set. These tires have seen me through Texas summer on tarmac, rain on tarmac, rocky shale single track, loamy dirt, sand, mud, and gravel roads.

Front Tire: Amazing grip on tarmac and does not have a wander until you push your bike (Atwin in my case) over 110 mph. They are a little slick in the rain but no more so than a shinko 705 and much better than a Motoz ADV front or 804 in the rain. In the dirt they have some grip but are not terribly impressive, the real odd feel to them is the side blocks hooking up far better than the man contact patch. The fun part to that is in ruts it tends to want to climb out of ruts on you. In the mud and sand the front is also not inspiring. I am 4400 miles in and so far just the molding knobs have came off, wears like a cast iron skillet.

Rear Tire: For the first 1800 miles the center band was not worn into place and the dirt traction was easily comparable to a TKC80 with a little more lateral slide. After the center strip was worn in the grip is slightly diminished but still usable. Great on tarmac of any flavour, hot, dry, wet, cold. Off tarmac the tire has the grip and drive that would fool you into thinking it was a far more dirt aggressive tire. At 4400 miles the tire has worn down roughly 1/2" with about 3/4" tread left. Interesting note as the center strip appeared the wear greatly slowed. I expect 8 to 9k from this tire. The mud was this tires only Achilles heel as it does not clean out fast enough due to lug spacing.

The bad: It looks like they have phased out this tire on the mitas site in the 150 / 70 18 size. I really hope this tire is not discontinued as it would be my forever tire.

I want to mount this on the front of my 2016 honda africa twin. I have stock spoke rims, and this is labeled a tubeless tire. will it work/ not void tire warranty if i use a tube? What tube do you recommend?
    Thanks
    john D on Apr 3, 2019
BEST ANSWER: You can use a tube in a tubeless tire. It will not void the warranty. Order a tube that is the same as the tire size.
