My Go To DS Tire on my 500 EXC
I've had 3 of these on my 500. I run bibs and while it wears pretty fast on the slab it provides great traction off-road on all surfaces.

Motoz Arena Hybrid Gummy BFM Tire
Good reviews and got this for Utah trip including Moab. Loved it. Good hookup on all surfaces. Got that trip and a few other rides on it before replacing with a Sedona tire for general riding. This tire is pricey but if you want a good hookup in all conditions I rode in, it worked great.

Eh, betters tires out there
Traction was pretty good but just not a good tire for the Utah trails. Rocks chew this right up. 1 hour of riding and big chunks taken out of the center knobs. I ran other gummy tires for over 40 hours with less damage than 1 hour on this tire.
Ran tubliss with slime 5 psi.

Not impressed
I ride in east TN. mostly gnarly single track. Straight traction is good. the off camber traction is probably one of the worst I have ran. took it off after one ride. I ran this with a IRC heavy tube at 8lbs. on a KTM 350exc-f

Great tire
i would definitely buy this tire again, i thought it being a gummy tire would make the life of it a lot shorter but my friend got a new tire at the same time and we've put the same amount of time and miles on our tires, his tire is almost bald already and mine is still new looking, also is a great plus the tire is reversable.

Favorite Rear
I guess I'm amazed by how poorly this tire has been reviewed. I Love it! I do understand it is not a tire for everybody. I feel it has amazing corning grip on acceleration and is overall just excellent in every condition I've run it in. No issues on steep off camber situations. This tire has to be run at low PSI with Tubliss to really get the effect of the flex zones in the carcass, and get the ground compacting (not digging) traction it was designed for. I've been able to do steep snotty hill climbs I never could have even thought of before with this tire at around 5 PSI. It also has a good enough side wall that I notice very little roll cornering even at 5 PSI (although I'm not an extremely fast rider) It is pricey, but seems to last and last especially for a gummy. I haven't run a IBEX yet but it sounds to me that it is really the only thing that could match this tire for performance for me, but I would expect much quicker wear and more tire roll from that tire. May have to try it just to know... Anyways highly recommend for more technical slower riding conditions, this is not a tire for brake and power slides. Probably the only condition I haven't tried this tire on would be really dry loose shale conditions. All others it's awesome!

Not worth it!
Ran two of these tires, one with tubliss at 5psi and one with a drilled nitro mousse. Very disappointed to say the least. I'm gonna compare these to the shinko cheater tires since that seems to be the hot buy. Well I'd put this thing right in the middle. Straight line traction is good all around and when new its pretty decent in the soft stuff. Side knob traction is pretty bad. It will let go VERY easy in the corners and forget about side hills..super sketchy. As soon as the tire gets to about half life it gets much worse. Still decent in the rocks cause of the soft rubber, but pretty awful everywhere else. How on earth slavens claimed this is a 1000 mile tire is beyond me. Performance turned to trash at 400 miles and I'm not really a tire spinner. The real killer is the price, almost twice as much as the shinkos. If the price was similar I would say it's a good comprise between the 505 and the 525. Braking and soft terrain performance is a tad better than the 505. I would say it's worse in almost every way compared to 525 except wear. The single advantage of this tire is the carcass seems stiffer and therefore running 5 psi with tubliss won't make the tire wallow as much as the cheater tires (if that bothers you) and running a mousse makes this irrelevant. Overall not worth it.

Under delivers for the price
I picked up this tire looking for something new. probably should have looked elsewhere, lol. after 1 ride, ~ 2hours, the tire was chunking and tearing on the center knobs. granted I ride SW desert terrain, but compared to much cheaper alternatives, this just doesn't hold up when talking about durability. the grip, however, was superb on rocks, roots and slabs, and it wasn't to bad is sand neither. but what's the point if the tire will melt an tear only after a few hours. Shinko 505 is a much better alternative for a hybrid, or even an IRC VE33, at far superior price point.

Dissapointed to say the least
I saw the review that Slaven's did on this tire and was excited to give it a try. Mounted it up with my normal nitro mousse insert and took the bike out to rip the practice loop near my house. Right off the bat the tire squirms around when your going straight making it feel like you have a flat tire, hmmm..
Climbing hills was ok but once I hit the side-cambered sections of the climb the tire would simply not hook up. It was extremely difficult to prevent spinning the rear and sliding down into the rocks and ruts below. A couple of years ago I tried to MotoZ Mountain Hybrid and it was exactly the same on side grip. It was so bad I gave it away before it was half used. I was hoping MotoZ had improved that tendency with this new tire but it's barely better if at all.
Also, after this first ride the tire had excessive wear and was starting to chunk a bit in places, unbelievable! Probably from the constant spinning.
Maybe the tire works better in different terrain? I don't know. Where I ride in Arizona, it's a lot of loose rocks, hard-pack and sand washes. I will say it did fine in the sand but then again pretty much any tire that isn't bald is decent in sand.
After the first ride I remembered I had bought 2 of these tires with one still in the wrap it was shipped in. Fortunately, Rocky Mountain let me send the second one back and switch it for my normal go-to tire the GoldenTyre GT232N. That tire works so well even when it's almost bald it's amazing but that's for another review. I just got back from riding the bike again (about 4 rides so far) and the only redeeming quality I can give this MotoZ tire is that it works pretty good braking downhill. I can't wait until this thing is worn out so I can get back to a tire that works.. if I can even stand waiting that long.

Expensive for what it is
Decided to try this tire after seeing reviews on other websites. Installed it on my '18 TE300, install was easy and the tire was built as described. It has somewhat stiffer sidewall than a trials tire but has a softer crown. First ride in the east TN mountains I was not impressed. I run Heavy Tubes and started at 9lbs which did have a responsive feel but traction was less than I expected. Dropped to 7.5lbs and traction was better but still not what the 505 cheater or Ibex has. The worst thing about my experience was that when I got back I now have a deep cut in one of the side knobs that goes down into the sidewall. So one 60 mile trail ride and this tire is practically useless now because I don't want to be stranded if something goes through the cut. I'm not bashing the tire but for a gummy and such a high price, I expected better results. The tread did not show wear more than normal so I would expect the tire to have long tread life if I hadn't cut the sidewall.

Slavens review says he has to use slime when running tubliss. Has anyone had any issues running tubliss without using slime?
Chris B on Dec 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I dont consider it an issue but I air up a little before every ride and it does leak down before the next ride but I am a light weight so it doesn't really bother me to run zero psi. If you need to to maintain the pressure use the slime. I believe tubliss now has optional instruction to use the slime on install
what is the difference in sizing for the 120/100 18" and the 110/100 18" ?
Deven S on May 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The 120/100-18 is wider than the 110/100-18.
Will the 110/100R18 be available at some point?
Asher S on May 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the factory is hot on producing more and we expect to have them the beginning of July. They are 110/100-18.....no R for Radial. We will have the 120/100-18 sooner though.
What's the difference between these two tires?
