  • 100% Flat-Proof – Nitromousse is a solid foam tire insert that completely eliminates the possibility of getting a flat.
  • Better Feel – Nitromousse’s proprietary nitrogen charged technology provides a more consistent and lively feel that eliminates the "dead" feel of other mousses, which gives Nitromousse a more pneumatic feel.
  • 2X Durability – Nitromousse is more resistant to heat and friction, which gives it a much longer life without compromising performance.
  • Fitment Chart - Nitromousse provides tire-specific fitment so you get the right mousse for your tire the first time and eliminate the guessing game. Find the correct size mousse for your tire above in the Documents tab next to the Questions & Answers tab or by using Neutech's online application guide here.
  • Standard Foam tube feels like 10-12 psi.

Tire bibs for Beta 300rr
These are nice but expensive. Piece of mind when riding does have value however. Best use is off road with very little high speed. This is my second set on a Beta 300rr.

Expensive but worth it?
Only rode one time with it so far. Rides great! Couldn’t tell the difference from my old tube I was running! I would highly recommend this tube! You must store your bike on a stand so the tube doesn’t develop a flat spot. Bought a new stand for $50 bucks at the bike shop who put it on for me.

No more flats
I've now had the same set in for around 50 hours and they are still going strong. I add a lot of lube at install and so far haven't had a problem leaving them in for the life of the tire. It is extremely important that you go to the Nuetech website and look at their fitment chart for the exact tire you plan to use. A 90/100/21 doesn't mean the same thing between tire brands or even model.

Not going back to tubes
After two flats on rear tire (2nd with heavy duty tube) I made the switch to this nitro mousse. I don't really notice a difference in feel and traction seems better. I do keep the bike on a stand now so that don't get any "flat spots" from bike sitting on ground and mousse on one spot for extended period of time. (not sure if this would be an issue or not). I will not be going back to tubes.

the ability to ride over anything you want without worrying about ever getting a flat tire is the best feeling in the world. also don't have to carry any tire changing tools on the trail anymore which is a huge bonus

Is the lube included with this?
kent m on May 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Kent, yes, lube came with mine. I, however, ordered a spare tube in case I needed to pull the tube out for any reason. Lube is important to the longevity (and reuse). Good luck.
I’ve got two holes in my wheel (one for the rim lock and one for the tube) but with with product, I’ll only need a rim lock. What do you suggest I do with the other hole?
Weston K on Mar 6, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I just fill the hole with a little silicone and wipe it even with my finger. I wait to do it until after it's all mounted and on the bead first, sometimes if I'm remounting a used nitro and it won't bead up I'll blow compressed air in the hole to get it to pop onto the bead. Remember, smaller hole is for rimlock if they're 2 sizes.
Looking for appropriate mousse sizes on my 2017 KTM 300XC?

FRONT: Maxxis Maxxcross SI 80/100x21, REAR: Maxxis Maxxcross SI 110/100x18

Some say to use 120/100-18 on rear but I have no experience with mousses
RONALD D on Nov 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: nitromousse fitment guide says 110/100-18 (search for "fitment guide" on the nitromousse dot com website). you can always run a size up if you want a firmer feel, which will probably last longer too. i like super low pressure, so i run a smaller one, but they don't last as long. i haven't used your tire, but their fItment guide has been correct for the tires i've tried it with (assuming you want an 11-13 PSI feel).
Bought one of these for front tire and one for rear. Selected correct size per Nuetech. The 110/100-18 looks / seems more like 110/100-16 (basically diameter is smaller than rim). I bought 2 and both were identical. I fitted/installed it and everything works great. Tire feel/pressure is perfect, but was wondering if next time I should be 120/90-19 (larger diameter) or the smaller diameter is normal?
Aleksey M on Nov 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Got a hold of Nuetech and they explained that IS by design, especially for the rear wheel. The idea behind it is to create as much pressure between the bead, sidewall and tire as possible. This prevents the roll-over kind of feeling when going into extremely sharp corners (I can definitely confirm that it's a ton more stable than other mousses I've tried). Like I mentioned in the question, the feel is PERFECT. So if anyone else having this "issue", it's normal, enjoy your mousse :)
Does this work with the Dunlop tires?
Anthony S on Nov 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, I have used different brand mousse's in the past and really like the action and reliability of the Nitro brand. It works well in a Dunlop 81, 32 or the 3S, I have not used it in others. The front seems a little more stiff but forgot about it in the first mile.
Still run a rimlock with it or no?
A shopper on Nov 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The BibMousse instruction "cartoon" sheet tells me to NOT use a rimlock. The NitroMousse instructions say to use a rimlock. I don't use a rimlock for either product, and have had no issues.
How long do they last before needing to replace (how many rear tires can you go through)?
KEIG C on Feb 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Entirely depends on your maintenance. If you are going through more than 4 tires a year, you will be re lubing it enough that it should last a full year or so. If you are riding only a couple times a year and the lube dries, it will shred fast. All depends on keeping the lube fresh and good. I’ve seen them last 2+ years and I’ve shredded them within a month due to lack of lube. Keep it lubed and they will last.
As someone who rides single track and goes through a tire every couple months, how long should this last? And how hard is it to install, is this something that can be done at home? Shops will charge more for install than a tube.
Tyler P on Jun 17, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I race 12-14 harescrambles per year and do some trail riding too. I'm a 40+ rider and finish in the top of my class regularly. I put these mousse in 1.5 seasons ago and I believe they are just now beginning to be worn out. I love them and believe 2 complete seasons (years) is easy to get from them. I am pretty 'religious' about not letting my bike sit on the wheels (use a kick-up stand) unless it's in the trailer AND in-motion. (not overnight, etc.)
I ride on paved roads and highway speeds to get to the off road riding. Will these break down or are they used for off road only? My bike is 2018 KTM 690 Enduro R.
David Y on Feb 15, 2019
BEST ANSWER: They claim they are not good for highway speeds on the hard surface due to them heating up. I’ve jumped trails on the road and have road them for 5-10 miles on paved roads doing 55-65 mph without trouble. Baja guys run them so I think they will hold up but your longevity will suffer pending tie. On the road.
What pressure is it when installed?
Spencer R on Jan 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Around 13 psi when new, then decreases over time as they breakdown. Also dependent on the tire you install them in. Even with the same size written on the side of the tire there is some variance in inner volume from brand to brand. I used the 80/100-21 mousse with a Dunlop MX52 80/100-21 tire and fit was good. Another time I tried a maxxis desert it front in the same size and the mousse fit way tighter and was equivalent to a higher psi.

Btw I’ve been getting about 2x the life out of these nitromousses compared to the Michelin ones.
Can I use the 100/90/19 in my 110 width tire?
Alan R on May 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: You can use it but there my be a separation between the tire wall and the mousse. I have had that situation in the past. I was racing in dry river bottoms and changed tires for a better sand tire. I honestly never noticed any bad habits or even sidewall flex, but I did run a rim lock as you will lose contact pressure to the rim.
I've been looking at foam inserts a wile now but the only hold back is for the past 10 years I only run about 6-10psi. not sure what size to get? 120/80/19 and 80/100/21 tire size.
Chad K on Jan 15, 2019
BEST ANSWER: There are many variables with bibs. They get into a sweet spot once then they just detirorate after that. Its so nice not to mess with flats and finish races. I keep differnt bibs in various stages of life for certain courses, then
i use new ones to have fun just ridding best advise is experiment with tires and size of bib. try them
What is the lifespan?
Scott D on Jul 25, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It depends on your riding style and the terrain you ride. I ride mainly desert and single track in the mountains and I usually get between 500 - 800 miles. Riding at high speeds on the high will cause it to breakdown quicker then normal.
I love not worrying about changing tires and carrying tubes. I rode for 3 days in Death Valley and never knew I had a 16 penny nail stuck in my tire.
I am looking for a Nitro Mousse for a Shinko 546F 80/100-21 front tire. The fitment chart doesn't show this specific tire but other similar tires show a 90/90-21 which must have been replaced as it doesn't show up in the purchase options. There are only 80/100-21, and 2 different 90/100-21's a -220 and a -235. Which is correct for this tire?
TODD G on May 15, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Use the 80/100-21 mousse. The 90/100-21 will be too big and you will have a heck of time trying to get your tire on. I know first hand.. hope this helps.
Hi,
can I use an other lube which does not dry out that fast like the lube that comes with it?
Thanks
Andy
A shopper on Aug 8, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes as long as it is not petroleum base. I like Murphy's tire mounting soap/lube. I never use the lube that comes with the mousse.
Can I trailer my 500 from NJ to Utah with a bib in the tire or will that ruin it ?
FRANK R on May 20, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It will be fine. I trailer mine a 1000 miles to Colorado every summer with no isues.
I only tighten tie downs as little as necessary but thats more for the fork springs.
If your worried just rotate it periodically on the trip.

I have a 2012 wr450f stock rims. What width are they each? I can't find it online or in my manual.
Alan R on Oct 2, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The stock rim sizes for your machine are 1.60 x 21 for the front and 2.15 x 18 for the rear.
why don’t you list part numbers?? tire size and mousse size are not one in the same.... you should know better. 220 and 285 is what i need.... how is one supposed to order the right product with immaculate part numbers???
Robert A on Apr 22, 2019
BEST ANSWER: If you click on the size tab it will show the tire size and in the parenthesis it shows the part number for the mousse.
I'm running Michelin AC10 80/100/21. Is there a size to run for this tire?
Jerry H on Apr 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Nitro does not have a tube that is small enough to fit that tire because it is a bit smaller than most 80x100-21's. They are working on and expect to have the correct size in about 60 days.
