Love this tire, amazing for wet conditions and mud. Usually run it in the fall or spring seasons. Nice soft gummy tire with lots of traction, and will dig right in.

By far the best tire for the money.
This is my favorite tire for riding in Arizona. We ride desert and woods in northern az and it covers all the bases very well. Would definitely recommend!

Great Traction
Just installed the tire on my bike with Tubliss and hit the rock gardens last weekend. There was a good variety of terrain from sand to loose deep gravel and rocks to granite slabs. The tire hooked up well in all conditions and felt very good even at higher speeds. In all honesty I only purchased this tire because the IRC V33S wasn't in stock. This is no doubt a great performing tire. I knew the tire would wear fast, but I was a little surprised at the amount of damage and wear to the tire after one ride of 30 miles. All in all it is a great tire for the money. I just prefer a little longer tread life. Definitely worth a try if you are riding technical terrain.

Only one ride on tire so far. It's a nice tire. Ready to see how it handles in the wet, and slick terrain.

Good Quality, Short life
I have been using this tore all summer. Probably have went though 5 of them by now. I run the 110 on a 110 Nitro Bib. They wear really quick for me. 3 rides & there are multiple knobs straight up missing. Most recently I rode some slow techy stuff, next ride was 50 miles of mtn single track, then last ride was mx track & some faster trails. So really like 20$ a ride for the tire.. so I plan to use it more just for strict race weekends. Good tire & price. The 120 wide tire does NOT fit onto a 120 Niro Bib.

Great tire, great performance, great value.
Loved this tire in the New England woods. It was recommended to me and I’d recommend it as well. Incredible traction in rocks and roots. It looks a little worn after a few rides but just keeps working.

Soft
This tire will show where very quickly but still offers good traction in the roots. Sand even diminishes the lugs very soft.

Is the 525 DOT approved?

BEST ANSWER: I do not believe it is
How much height does the 525 raise the rear of the bike? Did you need to compensate for it?
A shopper on Mar 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: You're thinking about this way too much lol... bikes comes stock with 110/100-18 ... that's 26.7" diameter... my 525 is a 120/100-18 ... that's a 27.4" diameter... 27.4 minus 26.7, you get .7" ... cut that in half for height difference (radius, not diameter) you get .35" ... I don't know about you but for me in not going to feel the extra .35" difference
My dear tire is 120/90/18. But the closest size I can find in the cheater tire is 120/100/18. Will this work or fit my rim? Any input is helpful. Thx.
Clarence L on May 13, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The number 100 is referring to the aspect ratio. Which means the height of the tire is equivalent to the width of the tire. So a 120/19/18 will be taller but the same thicknes The number 100 is referring to the aspect ratio. Which means the height of the tire is equivalent to the width of the tire. I will double check that to make sure I’m not incorrect
I know the 505 cheater has a tendency to try to come around you on steep and loose downhills. Does the 525 cheater have this same problem?
Kelly V on Feb 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Never had a problem with cheater 505 coming out on steep hills I run tubliss at 5lbs I bought the 525 for Mud and deep sand where it shines more over the 505
What front tire do you use with shrink 525 rear?
A shopper on Oct 1, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I used Michelin s12 on front an it was a great combo, also the 525 is a good tire for single track an hill climbs.
What is the overall width of the 110/100x18 tire?
Chris R on May 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The width is the first number in the size, so 110. Its in mm; to convert mm to inches, take 110mm divid by 24.5; gives you 4.331 inches wide.
I've seen this tire labeled as R525 and 525S. Is there a difference?
Dakota N on Aug 8, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yeah there is a difference, huge actually. The 525 is a soft to intermediate tire, designed for crawling over rocks. The 525S is a hard to intermediate tire, designed for open desert but still has a gummy tread.
