Great grip and lasting surprising well
I have only ridden this tire a few times, but it is lasting really well. Grip has been very good in both wet and dry conditions and the tire was great value. Had a Dunlop AT81 previously and I ride only single track and this tire is much better in all respects than the Dunlop.

Cheating is right
I ride east coast woods which include mud, rocks, creeks, hill climbs, tree roots, tight single track to wide open rail road grades, and I race harescrambles here in PA and NY. This tire is AWESOME I was hesitant to pull the trigger because if it’s very soft compound which leads to short lifespan but I’m glad I did, it’s a great tire, I’ve got 6.5 hours on one so far that’s including a very wet muddy 2 hour race and it’s still got plenty of life left probably another 5 hours or so but the grip is worth the shorter life and at less than $70 you cannot beat it. The only dislike is it gets a touch squirrelly at high flatout speeds but nothing crazy definitely not keeping me from running them less. The only tire I felt gripped better and maybe lasted longer was the Kenda ibex which seemed unspinnable (new word) but costs around $85

Not for the street squid, but perfect for true enduro riders.
Amazing grip in wet or dry dirt and rocks. Handles roots with ease. Very poor grip in wet dead leaves. Tire practically dissolves any time you even think about asphalt (as to be expected with such a soft compound).

The 525 cheater is a great tire and I'd recommend to anyone.
Great tire, I picked up the 525 cheater 120/90-19 for my 2000 RM125. I read up on it and I was 50/50 on getting one good tire they all roat down great traction but wearsout fast and cuncks. I live in northern Ontario" some of the roughest country around". Hey you can't knock something until you try it yourself, right. Well I've got about 50 hours on it and not a single rip, chunk no pinch flats. The wear is ok probably 30%, last year I went through 3 front tubes and 2 rear. The other thing I found was that it tends to get caught in the deeper ruts, wants to slide down in there, but I'm m thinking that could be the higher side walls either way all good. So I give this tire a 8 out of 10. The 2000 RM125 needs to be reved till your teeth almost fall out, so that rear tire is ripping up big rocks at a constant 8000 to need new rings RPM. I'm very happy with it and am going to buy another one soon. Just ordered the shinko F546 90/100-21, I'll let you know how that goes in a month or so, cheers and gear's and suck up those fears.

Woods tire
For all the posters with poor overall reviews abt this tire because of longivity, its called a "cheater" for a reason. Its a super soft compound that works like trials tire compound yet knob spacing of a regular knobby. Its not going hold up long if youre fanning the clutch and roosting every turn like moto x. 525 has Excellent grip on rock, roots, hard pack, and good on wet soils...all around great single track woods tire!

Best tire I’ve ever run for gnarly enduros/harescrambles
Hands down the best rear tire I’ve ever purchased for nasty woods racing. I’m able to make it through most nasty sections with little to no struggle. It literally hooks up on anything...rocks, roots, mud, clay, dry dirt, etc. Doesn’t last as long as other, harder tires but well worth changing more frequently

Rocket fuel for your bike
I Feel like this could maybe be the official tire of the Rocky Mountains. All my friends have switched to this tire after riding my bike. This tire flat out works like a dream in hard to intermediate conditions(Rocks, roots, rubble, hardpack and semi soft soil) It is not the best tire for mud but manages fine. Run a 120 on any bike bigger than a 250 4t. The 110 pales in comparison both in traction and durability.

True to its name....Cheater
Keep on going back to the Hybrid Cheater. Great on slick rocks and roots, digs through mud and holds strong at low psi.

My new go to tire.
It’s a golden tire for a fraction of the price. Ran the 505 cheater in Moab, Utah and I don’t think I broke traction once. For the wet sloppy riding here in the PNW, the 525 Cheater is the way to go, traction for days.

BEST ANSWER: I do not believe it is
How much height does the 525 raise the rear of the bike? Did you need to compensate for it?
A shopper on Mar 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: You're thinking about this way too much lol... bikes comes stock with 110/100-18 ... that's 26.7" diameter... my 525 is a 120/100-18 ... that's a 27.4" diameter... 27.4 minus 26.7, you get .7" ... cut that in half for height difference (radius, not diameter) you get .35" ... I don't know about you but for me in not going to feel the extra .35" difference
My dear tire is 120/90/18. But the closest size I can find in the cheater tire is 120/100/18. Will this work or fit my rim? Any input is helpful. Thx.
Clarence L on May 13, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The number 100 is referring to the aspect ratio. Which means the height of the tire is equivalent to the width of the tire. I know the 505 cheater has a tendency to try to come around you on steep and loose downhills. Does the 525 cheater have this same problem?
Kelly V on Feb 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Never had a problem with cheater 505 coming out on steep hills I run tubliss at 5lbs I bought the 525 for Mud and deep sand where it shines more over the 505
What is the overall width of the 110/100x18 tire?
Chris R on May 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The width is the first number in the size, so 110. Its in mm; to convert mm to inches, take 110mm divid by 24.5; gives you 4.331 inches wide.
