The Shinko Trail Pro 255 Radial Trials Tire has a super soft compound with a highly flexible radial carcass that provides excellent grip on rocks and other slick terrain. This tire works excellent in gnarly single track terrain.
  • Lightweight, reduces un-sprung weight for improved performance and maneuverability.
  • Available in 18 and 19 inch rear radial sizes.
  • 19 inch size allows use by most all full size motocross bikes without changing rear rims.
  • DOT approved. The Shinko Trail Pro 255 is a D.O.T. Compliant tire but is not recommended for commuter/continuous highway use. It is a tire for serious off road and trials applications and can be legally used "on highway" to connect off road trail heads.

Great Trail Tire
First thing youll notice is its smooth ride. It grips, track able. I have a 3mm tube as well with 12lbs pressure. Rides just right, 3rd-4th gear feels light and flickable compared to a knobby which may break loose and feels bouncy in comparison. No going back for me.

First trials tire I have used. Running with Michelin bib mousse insert for mountain trail riding in NM. Traction has been super on hard rock. Ok in sand, deep sand not so much. Been impressed with how well the tire has held up in sharp mountain rocks, haven't lost a knob yet in two riding seasons!

great tire
ive always wanted to try a trials tire. I bought this one because the others were too high$$$. I run it on my 2002 Honda cr250 two smoker, woods only. I will have to say that so far I'm very impressed. this tire is magical on slick stuff. the only draw back is slight loss of traction in heavy leaves. The wear so far is also excellent, and this this is DOT approved?

Great 19" trials tire
I have rode a lot of different trials tires and I love the Shinko. I have it on my 19 with my Tubliss system. It has also been vary durable. I have it on a cr500 and it still has held up very well. Had to take it off because the knobs were worn not because they were tearing off like most trials tires.

18" works great and lasts forever
It looks too skinny but it works. It finds traction where you don't expect it and it really hooks up on rocks, loose or planted. It does surprisingly well in sand, about as well as a worn knobby. The only terrain it does not excel in is mud, snow, and deep sand/silt.

The reviewer who said it doesn't work on loose shale rocks had a much different experience than I did. It absolutely loves rocks, loose or solid.

I started at 10 psi and over several rides went down to 6 psi with an ultra heavy duty tube. At 6 psi it was extra special, making the suspension feel very plush.

4 stars not 5 because it's not perfect in mud/snow/silt.

This was the 19" version
I tried this on my 2008 YZ250F. Coming from an 18" Pirelli MT-43, I did not feel it worked as well. My guess was the shorter sidewall of the 19" wheel size. It went on super easy and the bead seated with a floor pump believe it or not. However, I felt that it was way too soft and wallowy at 13 PSI and any higher pressure negated the benefits of running a trials tire. Also, if you get a flat with this tire, you'll have to repair it ASAP. If it works for you, it should last forever.

Great everywhere
First trials tire ever and won't be going back to a knobby. It's unbeatable in single track and rocks. Even on a muddy motocross track it still hooked up great. Been to dry my tracks too. You name it,the trials tire will hook up in it

Rocky Single Track
I put this tire on my CRF 250R and have nothing but great things to say about it. 19" trials tires are hard to come by and this one has performed beyond my expectations. I ride it at 12psi on rocky single track and it grips like no other. I have 4 rides on it and am just starting to see some ware but no chunks or missing knobs. I will definitely get another one when the time comes.

Does this come with wheel assembly?

BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately, it does not. This is just the tire. I'm sorry for the confusion.
