Great gravel, mud, and hard pack road performance. Noisy on tarmac with a bit of squirm when pushed in turns on pavement but I didn’t want a street tire. I hope the next few thousand miles are as good as the first few hundred. It’s mounted on a BMW 1200 HP-2 which is a proven “tire-eater”

Budget Price with Top Shelf performance
Just finished 4 days and over 600 miles of dirt riding plus another 200 on pavement. Did everything from sand dunes, high speed sand and gravel fire roads, nasty rock hill climbs, and twisty whooped out double track. This tire hooks up well in a lot of different terrain. I can feel wanting to warble around a little on pavement but still very predictable with good lean angles without fear of washing out. Killer price for a great tire.

Good grip in most conditions.
Good grip on and off road. Seem to wear good. Time will tell.
I wish the front tire was wider. I only saw the 90/90 option.

Great tires at a great price.
The tusk dsport adventure tires have great tread depth.
The tires are of good quality no defects or blemishes, the dsport tires are pretty light witch makes for a lighter unsprung weight compared to the tires they replaced.
The tusk dsport adventure tires I Definitely would recommend buying them you will not be disappointed.

A little wide and unsteady on gravel roads
My bike specifies a 120/80r18 tire and I ordered the 120/90r18 size. It should be the same width and just a bit taller. Tallness was not an issue, however the extra width made it rub against my chain guard and tool kit. I bent my tool kit mount outward and trimmed some plastic off the chain guard and now it fits, but just barely. I think the carcass is the same size and a 120 width tire but the extra aggressive knobs stick out further to the side so be cautious if you don't have much clearance. Also, since the sidewalks are so stiff it is very firm even at low psi. This makes it unsteady on loose gravel roads or hardpack. The tire does do well in mud and softer terrain (I do a lot of riding in fairly deep cinders and it does great there.) I also feel better going over sharp rocks knowing that the carcass is so tough compared to my old tires. It's a good tire in the right conditions, unfortunately it's wasn't the best fit for my bike and some of the places I ride.

Beefy tire
I've had these tires mounted for a while and finally got to try them out this weekend. Tires are stiff but once warmed up they started working better. The ground out here is really dry right now so traction wasn't real great. I love the aggressive tread they have and I believe they will do a great job once they're scrubbed in a bit.

Better than stock in offroad
Tossed these on my new 2020 Husky FE350S only been in the rainy grass with them on. So limited riding on good dirt and street. So far I have no complaints. Definitely better in "off road" over stock tires

Well mannered, easy to install, but took way too many weights to balance.
Went on just fine and handle like D606’s on dirt. Slightly better mannered than the 606 on pavement. Took a LOT of wheel weights to balance. The rear was way worse than the front. Will go back to D606’s next time.

What psi do you recommend for pavement? I’m running about 18/20 off-road, but not sure how much more for pavement. First ever set off road tires.
Mike H on Apr 4, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Totally dependant on the bike weight and your weight. PSI is typically dependant more on that then the tire. I personally run 22 for mostly pavement, but leave the tire at 17 as an inbetween pressure
Will a KTM 500 Enduro have clearance for the 130/90-18 size? Thanks
A shopper on Oct 20, 2019
BEST ANSWER: These are the biggest grippiest bestest DOT knobbs I've ever had but I think your 11" of suspension travel will accommodate
I bought the Tusk Dsport Adventure tire, 130/90/18, for the rear of my 2015 Honda xr650l, over a year ago, and for whatever reason, only began trying to mount it this evening... it just doesn’t look like it’s gonna fit... it completely swallows my rim up, like a big bass, does a little worm... these are some wicked, mean looking tires. They look like they will chew up the West Virginia hills, and spit them out.. I’m using my Tusk tire spoon kit, to try an wrestle them on the rims, the spoons are excellent, my skills are not... Honda dealers are falling by the wayside here in West Virginia, there aren’t many left, but I’m gonna find one an hope these awesome looking tires fit... Again... I just don’t see it happening... Have any of you guys/gals, mounted these on the rear of a Honda xr650l?
Steve K on May 16, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Hey Steve, I know it's not the same bike, but they clear very well on my 02 and 06 Yamahas. I still use that tire and really like it, and it's actually a bit smaller than the Dunlop 606 of the same size that I used to run.
Where is the rim lock dot on the rear tire?
Christopher O on May 14, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I never saw one on mine. The weight difference of the tire itself is negligible compared to the rimlock and valve stem. You will always need to balance after installation.
Is the front tire reversible?
A shopper on Apr 12, 2020
BEST ANSWER: It is clearly marked which direction it should rotate and the tread pattern looks like it only goes one direction so I don't think I'd take the risk and run it backwards.
What tire pressure do you guys recommend for off road desert riding? 130/90-18 Thanks
John V on Mar 10, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Hello John, we recommend using the tire pressure specified in your machines owners manual, but it can also be based on personal preference and specific terrain.
Is rear tire directional?
A shopper on Mar 8, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The rear is Non-Directional, there is no arrow on sidewalls and the tread is symmetrical & would be identical mounted either way. (The front IS direction, with an arrow & asymmetrical tread.
Are the front or rear dsport tires directional?
John C on Feb 29, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I confirmed front is directional 21inch ...rear 130.90.18 is non directional..
How many miles are people getting out of these for road riding?
Seth C on Mar 31, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Roughly 1200 miles and no noticeable wear on Honda CRF 230. This is my girlfriends bike and she is a soft rider. I might try on one of my 650s in the future
Will the 130/90-18 fit a 15 KTM 690? Thanks!

BEST ANSWER: Yes, I have one on my 701. Same size rim. Overall pleased with this tire, comparable to the d606
Which this dual sport tire will fit my 2003 exc450 ?
patrick r on Mar 7, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I would say yes if 18' rear and 21' front wheel. I have these tires on a 2018 exc 450 six days, 2009 exc 450 and just put them on a buddies 2006 exc 450, as well.
I have a 2001 XR650R and the drop down does not show the 120 or 130/90-18. The answer earlier was that it does not show due to a need to potentially modify to fit. I know that in some instances you can run a 5.10 or 150 on the XR. The CRF 250 shows it can run the 130/90/18? So does it fit?
A shopper on Apr 6, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Mounted fine on my 2004 WR450. A little tall, it will increase gear ratio and put weight on the front tire. A welcome side effect on the Yamaha. Ha Ha
Is there any issue using the 130/90x18 as a front tire.?
Robbie R on Mar 3, 2020
BEST ANSWER: We do not recommend using the 130/90x18 as a front tire.
