Wow
This is a very aggressive looking and handling tire from the few short rides I have on it. I look forward to putting many more miles on this.

Great value!
Pretty happy overall with these tires. Good traction on the lose rocky trails. Only a little tire howl on the asphalt but I think that is because they are at 14psi for the dirt. I'd bet that it goes away if I add air for the street rides. I do regret putting the 130 rear on my DRZ400. I think the 120 would have been a better choice.

990 adv
I bought these for my 500 exc but sold the bike before putting them on. I mounted them on my 990 just to see how they would do and they are fantastic. They are a wide 130 so they fit the wider rim pretty well. I measured the knobs new and they are right about half at 1300 miles with the last 300 miles being strictly highway. The most significant wear was those highway miles. If you ride mostly dirt/gravel or side roads this is a great aggressive knobbie for big bikes. Obviously it doesn’t meet the stock speed rating so just don’t do 100mph and you’ll be fine.

Is this tire as good as a dedicated off road tire or a dedicated street tire? No, but it's pretty good everywhere. I've put 500 or so miles dual sporting it on my plated WR450. A great tire for it's intended use. Good for gravel two tracks, FS roads, highway connectors and even short runs on single track, with what appears to be a long wear life. Value, 2 tire for a good price. I'll order again!

Wondering and “NOW IMPRESSED”
I was very happy the day that the D-Sports showed up at my door, the massive lugs on the rear was amazing, the first ride on them seemed a lot different than the other tires I had ran, with a couple of tire pressure adjustments, I put them through pavement, then a gravel service road, and last a very aggressive mountain climb through the hills of Tennessee, I put this set on a DRZ 400 for a trial and to see what they would do. I will probably be ordering another set for my KTM 500exc.

Great for true dual sport use
I mounted a front to my Husky TE630 and have so far ridden it several hundred miles, about 50% dirt & 50% pavement. The dirt has been everything from graded roads to technical singletrack, and a little sand.

Previous tires on that bike were an IRC VE35 & a Goldentyre Fatty.

Compared with the above dirt-only tires, the Tusk performs acceptably in the dirt, but not fantastic. It definitely has less traction across the board than the Goldentyre, but it does lose traction predictably. For the speeds I tend to ride on this bike in looser terrain, it's just fine.

On pavement it is far better than the others. It feels planted, and there is no wandering feeling when leaned onto the very edge knobs like on the others. I definitely enjoyed it on the twisty pavement significantly more.

Overall if it lasts 3000 miles or so I'll have found my tire. I'm very happy with it for the cost so far.

Awesome tire for price!
Awesome tire for the money. I put these front and rear on my DRZ400S. Replaced kenda k270's. Really good traction off road and they feel good in pavement also. I ride single track, dirt roads and pavement. They are really squirrelly at first so give them a hundred or so miles to break in. I run about 10 to 15 psi. More than that and they are squirrelly on hard pack. Great rear tire traction in soft sand. Only have a few hundred miles so far so i don't know about longevity but so far they look good.

Aggressive dual-sport tire
We ride in an area that has a road base of dirt/sand and small crushed rock. My old 244 front tire wasn't hooking-up well so I mounted one of these. After several rides I can say this is a great alternative to other tires I've tried, runs down the paved roads well, hooks-up great off-road. No wear after 300 miles of 50/50 type riding, time will tell how long it lasts, I usually get about 3K. on dual-sport tires.

Quite Happy with these on my DR650
I got to spend 695 miles with a set of the brand new Tusk DS tires in SE Utah this past week. 1998 DR with Plex valves and Cogent Stock Rebuild rear. About 200 on tarmack, the balance on sand, gravel, and rock ledges. 20 lbs tire pressure F/R.

Impressions: at first a tad squirrelly at speed on pavement but settled down nicely after maybe 100 miles. Excellent hookup on everything except marbley gravel over asphalt. Smooth on pavement with a bit of whine over 45.

Front tire handling mirrors a D606. You will like/dislike these in whatever way you like/dislike them.

Wear was indistinguishable from my friend’s D606 (both brand new to start). See my comparison tread depth (only my photos below.

Conclusion: a very decent, inexpensive alternative for a D606. I will buy these again at 1/2 the cost of the Dunlop (of which I am a big fan!).
