Best deal out there
I’ve bought 4 tusk impact rims over the last few years for multiple bikes and they’re a great product at a great price
I always run my spiked Trelleborg tires in the winter but they’re a pain to dismount/remount soI keep them mounted on these rims all year long
Fit, durability, and price all in one!
Love them and highly recommend to anyone who needs new rims

Poor Quality
If you are a competitive rider these wheels are not for you. They might be cheap but there is a reason. We installed the rotor and sprocket to the proper torque utilizing new hardware a we always do to avoid failure. First rotor bolts loosened during a moto causing bolts to damage caliper carrier and bent rotor. When checking the treads they appeared to be stretched out. ($165.00 for carrier and a DNF). Bought another rear wheel because they did not cover). Installed all new hardware, new sprocket, and new rotor. Within 20 minutes the rear sprocket loosened, bent and cut into the swing arm. Going back to quality wheels. RMATV once again said must be torque issue. I think its soft aluminum.

Tusk All The Way
This is the 3rd set of Tusk wheels I have purchased, for 3 different brands of bike. They are awesome. I have never had an issue, and they stand up to abuse.

Can you provide either a weight for the 18" rear wheel for a CRF application or a weight comparison vs OEM?
Andrew M on Jan 2, 2018
DO THESE WHEELS HAVE A WARRANTY?
A shopper on Sep 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: They do have a warranty against any manufacture flaws or defects. If you purchase these wheels and have any issues, please let us know and we will look into it and do the research to find out what solutions we can find for you, as each case is different.
Will my stock axle fit this wheel?
A shopper on Aug 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes it will, you just need to use the Tusk supplied wheel spacers. The spacers are a very tight fit so it makes it a little difficult to get the wheel on the first time but after the first time it is just as easy as stock and the stock axle works perfectly.
What is the spoke torque for these wheels?
don h on Sep 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: 48-55 inch/pounds is the recommended torque.
Do these wheels come trued?
JESSE R on Nov 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, they're pretty straight, but you'll want to double check all the spokes after each ride for the first few rides to make adjustments as the wheel breaks in.
Does the rim come with lining?
Ravon S on Sep 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No, the complete wheel does not include the rubber rim strip that protects the tube from the spoke nipples.
i recently purchased a rear wheel for my 2008 ktm 200 xc, used the supplied tusk spacers. everything seemed to fit fine, no issues. after one ride, while cleaning, i noticed the seals were torn. bought tusk replacement seals and installed, no binding or rubbing visible, second ride, second set of seals torn, again. am i missing something here? never had any prior issues with my stock ktm wheel setup. send halpppp
Ian K on Mar 19, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I have a warranty claim into Rocky Mountain. I think there is a defect somewhere in the manufacturing process. The inside of my hub is scored to the point where the seals will no longer fit into the hub.
If i broke a spoke, can i use the oem as replacement for this wheel set?
(bike is Crf250x)
A shopper on Jun 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I'm pretty sure you can not. When mine broke some spokes I had to get the Tusk replacement kit.
Do i have to use the tusk brand rim lock for this wheel or can I use any brand 2.15" rim lock?
michael a on Jun 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I never checked to see if could use another rim lock, i just bought the Tusk rim lock when I bought the wheel set.
Does this wheel include the mounting bolts for the sprocket and rotor?
Bradley K on Nov 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No, the sprocket and rotor mounting bolts are purchased separately.
Does the Tusk Impact rear wheel use OEM bearings? I have it mounted on a 1999 YZ400f
Jordan L on Sep 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I've bought the Tusk Impact for a 2013 RMZ450. I believe it's easy to get confused with what bearing to use. When you look for bearing for your Tusk wheel I can tell you this. The rear wheel Tusk brand bearings are a sealed bearing but the front are not with the Tusk brand. I suggest you measure the bearings and the area where the bearings go with accurate measuring tools. I do like the tusk brand bearing and have had not one issue with using them. I suggest using Pivot Works Water Proof for the front tusk wheel if you use the Tusk front wheel. It really comes down to taking measurements to have a secure way/feeling of making a final decision. Make sure you read and talk to the sales tech at R/M before buying the bearings. Or you have left over OEM bearing for an OEM wheel. Just remember if you knock out a bearing never reuse it unless it's an emergency but replace them ASAP!
Should my axle fit snug without spacers? (I would never ride without spacers, just asking to see if I have the correct fit since my OEM wheel fits the axle snug without spacers) The wiggle room the axle has makes me think I would damage my axle and hub when riding.
Ryan L on Apr 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: yes, the axle should fit snug. Now when you say spacer, are you talking about the little insert that is already included on the OEM wheels that pops in or out or are you thinking about an entirely different spacer?
Can the spoke and nipple colors be customized? The picture in the gallery of the hammerhead TI pegs has Suzuki engraved on the face of the peg. does that come on all the hammerhead pegs purchased for that make and model?

I have an 08 yz125. Will my stock axle work in this rim?
A shopper on Jun 24, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes if you order for an 08 yz. Expect to break spokes after about a year of use. I always check spoke torque and have been breaking numerous spokes every few Motos and I’m a vet rider.
Would this work on and 2003 ttr125l?
A shopper on Aug 4, 2019
BEST ANSWER: To see if this part will fit your machine please enter the make, model, and year into our "Choose a vehicle" drop down boxes found above the product image. If your machine is not listed, we may not carry the right item for your application. If you have a 2020 year model but don't see your machine as an option, please contact a tech via Live Chat or call us at 1-800-336-5437 for assistance.
Does the Tusk Complete wheel weigh more than a stock rim?
DAVID A on Nov 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Depends on the application. The wheel is heavy duty so some applications it can be just slightly heavier.
Does the rear wheel have one or two bearings on the sprocket side?
A shopper on Jun 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: 2 drive side bearings
Wanting to convert my 2004 honda crf250r 19in rear wheel with the 18in. Will these work?
A shopper on Jan 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Juse use the drop downs to select for your bike. When I did it it said it fit your bike. I used the drop downs to convert a 19" to a 18" rim on a yz125. It fit with no issues.
I want to put a 18 inch rear tusk impact rim on my 2003 Yamaha YZ 250 but it won’t let me order that size because of the year how do I go around this???ty for your time
Jeremy F on May 15, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I believe that’s because it’s a 19 inch wheel. Does it not have the sizes available for a 2003? I also believe a TTR230 uses an 18inch wheel so you could put that in as an option if you really want a 18inch wheel.
I broke my talon hub and decided to buy these. I noticed that the hardware for the rotor threads into the actual hub when I tried putting it on the impact wheel, the hardware just goes all the way through. Does this mean I should get new sprockets and rotor? Or just just bolt and nut hardware?
Cory L on Mar 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: i would just get short bolts, i went out and looked at mine and they stop just flush with the back of the hub with out going through, i did not have to get new ones everything fit up perfect i give it a five star hub, good equality fast shipping and everything thing fit perfect.
Would this wheel be usable for dual sport type riding. For example on a street legal KTM EXC-F? I ask since it specifically mentions motorcross and off-road racing but not street. I'd like to use this as a secondary wheel set for with higher gearing for dual sport rides.
Erik S on Jan 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This will absolutely work for dual sport riding just like a stock wheel would be as well. I've used these wheels for that purpose on many bikes.
Looking for a replacement rim for my crf 450rx. What size comes with the bike? 18 or 19?

Thanks
A shopper on Jun 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The CRF450RX comes with an 18 inch wheel from the factory.
I want to switch my drz 400 from an 18" wheel to a 19" wheel will this wheel work for that?
Dustin P on Oct 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This wheel kit will not fit your DRZ400. We have a 19" rim available that you can use but you'll also need a 19" rear wheel spoke kit. I've attached that rim to this response.

Is it conplete like tire rim brake sproket?
Braydon H on Aug 8, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This wheel is a pre-assembled wheel that is complete with rim, spokes, hub, bearings, seals, and spacers.
Can someone please explain why the Tusk complete rear wheel will fit a 2003 CR125 but the hub (which seems identical) will only fit the 2004 and up CR125?
Calvin R on Jul 25, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I show the stock OEM complete wheel for a 2003 Honda CR125R is 42650-KZ4-J50 and hub assembly 42635-MEB-750. The 2004 Honda CR125R complete wheel is 42650-KSR-J00 and hub assembly 42635-MEN-000. They are not the same. We design our wheels after the OEM setup.
Has anyone ordered these for flat track wheels?
A shopper on Jul 7, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I have ordered 2 sets and they are great and extemely well built.
The recommended torque for the spokes on the paper that comes in the box with the wheel says it's between 48-55 ft. lbs. I bought the 2.15 x 19 rear wheel for my CRF250R, so is there an exact torque value for the spokes? Also, what size spoke wrench does it take? I don't want to risk over tightening and stripping the threads if, for example, 55 ft. lbs is too much. Has anyone already torqued the spoke once or more and can say what value you used?
Todd M on Jun 24, 2019
BEST ANSWER: They come in two sizes 7mm and 8mm, I personally torque spokes to 40lb ft. I recommend purchasing a spike torque wrench. You will not be able to strip them by over tightening but if you do over tighten they may break from the stress (at the threads) I have had about 5 sets of these wheels and have had good experiences with 40lb
i have a question, i wanted to know if TUSK make a wheel combo for the 65?
A shopper on May 10, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I would be happy to help you. What is the year and which 65 do you have?
So I bought a 19 inch wheel for a 2016 yz450f and now i wanna buy a 2019 husky 300 will the wheel fit on it and is the axle same diameter and is the brake holes the same and is the sprocket holes going to line up?
RANDY R on Mar 31, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I really doubt it will I had an excel wheel off a 2016 yz 250f sold them to a buddy with a yz450 2008 fit but was not right he had to get new hubs I believe
I would like to put a 18'' rear on my RMZ250 for more trail riding. Options won't allow me to pick an 18" rear when I put my year/make/model in. Can I get an 18" rear form my MX bike?
Donyelle W on Dec 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I show for the years 2007-2018 RMZ250 are going to be a 19" rear complete wheel. If your machine is made 2004-2006 then we sell an 18" option for the RMZ250.
