Details

Bel-Ray® High Performance Fork Oil is a front suspension oil formulated for use in all suspension forks including those using cartridge and duel chamber systems. Through the use of carefully selected high-viscosity base oils, fade is reduced providing smooth operation over a wide temperature range. Bel-Ray® High Performance Fork Oil eliminates stiction and drag while greatly improving fork action.
  • For all standard and cartridge forks.
  • Anti-wear chemistry greatly reduces friction wear in suspension tubes and sliders for longer lasting suspensions and more responsive and reliable performance.
  • Friction modifiers increase lubricity for minimum "stiction" and for more responsive and better handling suspension over irregular terrain.
  • Viscosity stability provides long lasting and consistent performance and response, even as the suspension heats up.

good for front or rear suspension
I used this to rebuild both my front and rear suspension on my 2009 honda crf 450x. Seems to work great. Have had no suspension issues after re-build.

Good Oil
It was between Bel-Ray and Motion Pro oil and I got the Bel-Ray because it had more reviews. I think both are great oils and you couldn't go wrong with either.

This is good fork oil. I noticed that my forks are not sticking or getting mushy after the long washboard roads and long whoops.

Good stuff!
Good oil, doesn't break down very fast and provides consistent damping with the weight of the oil. Only small complaint is that the top of the bottle is very large, so it doesn't pour well which adds on to an already messy job.

What kind of oil do i use on my 2007 rmz 450?
Joshua K on Sep 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hello Joshua,
Almost any brand of oil is good for your forks, unless you bike manual specifies one. what matters the most is the grade you need for your type of suspension set up for different styles of riding. for hard suspension like motocross high grade is recommended, or for light riding trail raining soft suspension low grade oils are recommended. of if you do little bit of both I will recommend 10W -15w. General Blue ray is a good brand with good price. Brraapp!
what weight fork oil should i use on a 2002 rm250 ?
A shopper on Jul 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Most high performance dirt bike forks for years have used 5wt oil. Heavier oils thicken up during cold temps. Thicker the oil will create more of a damping affect on forks . you can also make small adjustments with oil level too .
What oil weight should i use for a 2013 rmz 250?
A shopper on Mar 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It depends a little, if everything is stock and you are happy go with 5 wt. If fork has been rebuilt and revalved you may be using closer to2.5wt,. But you would know this from your fork builder
Does this fill 2 or 1 fork?
Strogie J on Mar 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: On some bikes it could fill 2 forks but it is best to consult shop Manuel for proper amount of fluid to use.
what weight fork oil should I use in my 2006 yz450?
Brad B on Jan 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I'd always refer you to your owners manual but 5w seams to be the industry standard across the board. I've used both belray and amzoil and have had good luck with both(it's just suspension fluid). Unless your suspension has a custom set up or been re-valved specifically to use a different weight the 5w will work and should be what you need.
What weight fork oil do I need for my stock 2017 KX250F?
Paul K on Dec 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Stay with what the manufacture recommends, which is 5wt. From everything I have read, 5wt stay most consistence. The most important thing is to service them, you would be surprised how dirty the fluid gets after only a short time. Just like the engine oil, the more you stay on the normal service intervals, the longer things last.
Ktm Exc 125 2004 Stock Open Chamber forks. Going to change oil and ride in the winter 17 fahrenheit +- 10. Got any recomended viscosity on the oil, And then in the sommer just 5W right? (55 degrees +-)
Viktor H on Nov 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: the newer style of forks use a lightweight oil for best overall use & would recommend using the stock recommended weight oil for your KTM for use in any season . engine oils are normally the ones that are changed in viscosity for severe temp changes. I have personally rode my KTM in freezing & hot temps with the stock recommended fork oil weight with no problems & minor difference in suspension performance that can easily adjusted with the compression clickers.
