This is the third one of these taillights I have purchased - they last about 6 months then the internal LED circuitry comes apart (from vibration I guess). This newer design is even WORSE (the most recent one lasted about 400 offroad miles - DONE).

Used on a YZ250 for enduro. Has tail and brake light. A little smaller than anticipated tho.

    Excellent light
Excellent light, good size, and plenty bright - much better than a regular wattage-sucking bulb

Good Brake/Taillight, not room for license plate
It provides an adequate tail and brake light, and I was hoping it would also have room to display a license plate, but it did not. I replaced it with a different version.

    nothing special.
Good: low profile, barley takes any power, able to be operated by a 9V battery for a long period of time.

Bad: Leaks water, needs to be sealed properly. the plate holder is not long/wide enough- meaning your plate will break at one point.

    needs work
I have bought 3 of these. The first one got wet and shorted when I rode in the rain. The next one I took the red lens off and put a bead of silicone around where it contacts the main assembly. That was over 5 years ago and no problems in every weather possible. I did the same to the last one I bought for my wife's bike 3 problem free years ago. Nice and bright. No license plate light but I believe it states that in the description. If the lens came with a seal it would earn a 5 star rating.

How many watts is the tail light?
    A shopper on Dec 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: All LED tail lights require a very low consumption of wattage, that is the advantage of LED versus bulbs. I do not have correct 100% answer (more like 90%) but for each tiny LED, they are more/less 1 watt per LED. So most all of our LED tail lights only need 5-8 watts to work properly. You will need to put a resistor in line to back down the wattage if you have too much wattage or you will smoke the LEDs.
Does it plug into the stock KTM wiring loom?
    A shopper on Sep 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No. It just has 3 wires that must be spliced into the wiring harness. Or you can wire the OEM connector to this and then plug it in.
