With the Giant Loop Kiger Tank Bag you’re looking at the largest tank bag in Giant Loop’s luggage lineup, offering 9 liters of storage in a single, large clamshell compartment that Giant Loop says is ideal for packing cameras, video equipment, and other electronics. Based on the height of this bag that gives both ample storage space and a small footprint, we’re inclined to agree. And that makes the Kiger ideal for some of the larger touring and ADV bikes—think of the KTM 1190, BMW’s F1200GS, and the Honda Africa Twin.

However, with the bag’s versatile mounting harness and how quickly it can be zipped off from that harness, the Kiger still works great on smaller dual sport and adv bikes. As far as storage goes, the Kiger’s most defining feature is the clamshell top that makes it virtually impossible for water to enter but remains easy to open with gloved hands. Inside you’ll get one large compartment with a mesh pocket on the underside of the lid, while on the outside you get a touchscreen-friendly map pocket up top and a mesh pocket for quick storage on the rear.
