Quality control lacking otherwise looks good.
I bought a this replacement shift lever for my 04 CRF450 and when it came to installing it. I found burs where the bolt screws through. Now I’ve got to remove the bolt and file down the burs. What should have been a 5min job means I’ve got to go to a friends place and use is file. Improve your quality control!

Hammerhead Shift lever with knurled tip are the only shift lever I use!
Wow, solid feel, solid shifting, super spring knurled tip, great looking to enhance the look of older dirt bike and trust in a company that makes great lasting performing products. I have used hammerhead designs products over the last 15 years on all my dirt bikes. Riding trails, racing hare scrambles, racing motocross or just doing the Saboba invite ride a few years back with friends I only trust hammerhead brand to keep my bike shifting smooth under any and all conditions. I also have used several times in past the hammerhead design case save which looks super clean, fly and will do it's jog when needed.
Great company and would highly recommend hammerhead design to all my friends, family and fellow riders any time. Cheers!

Bike came with a bent one
Replaced the same model that was bent and maybe also extended, went with stock length. So far so good only have about 1/2 dozen rides on it and no tight single track yet.

    Great shifter!
Shift lever is awsome, its light and feels good, but the color on the tip of the lever wears off very quickly.

    Hammer head shifter lever
Great product, love that you can change the shifter to fit the rider perfectly, just remove the sure clip and install the correct tip, for your boot size. Only difficult part was install do to the bolt placement but some common sense and you can get the bolt installed.

    Works Well
Fits and functions the same as OEM. Shift levers are a consumable item on a dirt bike. It's a lot easier to replace them at this price then try to straighten a bent OEM one or worse pay OEM prices for a new one.

    20MM Longer shift lever
Have this on two of my bikes, size 15 boots require this longer length. Very happy with this extra room.

what is the difference between the forged lever and billet lever?
    Dylan L on Nov 5, 2017
Hammerhead Forged Shift Lever with Knurled Tip
Hammerhead Forged Shift Lever with Knurled Tip
Hammerhead Billet Shift Lever with Knurled Tip
Hammerhead Billet Shift Lever with Knurled Tip
BEST ANSWER: Forged components are hammered into shape while the material is hot. Billet components are cut from stock materials and generally have a more pleasing shape and finish. Because of the greater time and effort of CNC machining, billet products are more expensive. Forged vs. billet, in aluminum components, probably doesn't make a lot of difference in strength. Some folks say forged items are stronger; some say that billet components are. However, in drag racing, where performance really counts with very high $$$$ engines, everybody runs billet crankshafts. I'm sure that you won't see a big difference in a simple shift lever.
