if your like me and like to do all your own stunts, I mean wrenching, you will need the manual at some point. I cannot stress how important torque specs are on a motorcycle. The last thing you want is the bike to break in half while your flying down the highway. Get your manual and use it, know you are doing it the right way and not just guessing.
Clymer always delivers a great manual! Detailed instructions with images will help anyone complete regular maintenance or a project bike. Necessary for any tear down work and highly recommended.
The Clymer repair manual arrived 48 hours and was the correct item I purchased. Rocky Mountain atv has certainly stepped up their game with having parts available for my project build.
This manual may provide more information than you want to know. Great photos. The wiring diagrams take a little time to study but eventually you can figure it out.
Typical manual. I bought for starter problem, but studied most of it because it refers you back or forward to different sections in every chapter, almost like a lawyer wrote it. There's lots of pictures, but all are black and white and did not reproduce well---too dark and you can't make out too much detail.
The manual is easy to follow and has most of the information I required. My only problem is that it only showed carburated models for fuel systems. My Sportster 1200xl is fuel injected.
This is real handy to have and pretty detailed, with one exception: It does not cover rear shock service AT ALL. It basically says "shocks are complicated, take it to the dealer".
Clymer puts out a decent manual! I've bought several in the past. However it is more difficult to find torque specs and other info as most of the information is on charts in the beginning of chapters. Allot of this has to do with the fact that the manuals usually included several models and years of the same bike. That's why I rated this manual at 4 stars as it's been my experience that the factory manuals are much easier to use!
This manual has it all in it with very good descriptions. Tells you all the info and spec you could ever need and shows you how to do pretty much everything on your machine. Rebuilds and basic maintenance,
Only problem I find it's not easy to use...coming off a Honda 450x where the manual was step by step this is all over the place....for a basic guy like me who just wants to do the simple stuff...way too hard to bounce around, so now I study first, write notes and give Er....but lots of info in manual
These are better than the basic owners manuals but not as detailed at the factory service manuals. Factory service manuals can be expensive. The Clymer manual will have the information most people need. Only a professional technician may want more.
Very helpful would recommend purchasing just to have on hand lots of useful info . The more info available to you the easier it is to trouble shoot or repair without mistakes
Real page turner! I use this book for reference. But most things I do I like to watch the full process first.. so youtube.
This did come in handy when I was changing the seal on the counter-shaft for there weren't many youtubes. I own these books for all my cars and trucks so it fits to have one for my bike.
Machine this part was bought for: 2008 KAWASAKI KLR650
BEST ANSWER:I think my only reads for Yamaha 350 warrior. I would not purchase this book unless the cover says exactly what you are looking for. If it were up to me I would call RM. They are great there and will be able to tell you exactly what it says or take a picture of it and send it to you.
