Awesome tire!
Awesome tire! Love the 8 ply! They do measure small when you first get them, but expand quite a bit when aired up. I’d also reccomend running them at a lower PSI to get a better ride. Great traction

Sad to see them go
These are excellent tires, and it is sad to see them discontinued.
They have incredible steering and side hill traction, great hard pack manners and even do well in slick clay mud. They are not a pure mud tire, but I was able to wade into (and out of) anything that was less than the tire height (29" in my case).
Overall one of the best tires I have used, though it is too early to determine tread life. If they have your size do not hesitate to buy these tires.

I like these MUCH better that stock and 28" Blackwater Evolutions.

Good tires and price
These tires are awesome and a great deal. I put the 29-9-14 all the way around on my 2017 rzr 900 trail it has a little lift maybe a 1.5 with the bandit shocks and they fit perfectly. Id say they run a little small. 800 miles they almost look new. Plus I can rotate them. No flats yet, they conform to the terrain pretty good around 8 psi. Good all terrain tire and they will surprise you in the mud. I highly recommend them

These replaced OEM Bighorn 2.0's on our 2016 Honda Pioneer 1000 five up. My initial concern is the hop and bounce the tire exhibits at speed on highway and hard pack surfaces; especially given this machines weight and ability to run at a high rate of speed.
To be fair, I likely need to adapt to the feel of a stiffer sidewall, especially since the Bighorn 2.0 had a lesser ply, softer feel sidewall.Nor have I found the tires inflation "sweet spot" (rumored to be `12 psi +-) They may also need to be balanced?
I do appreciate the fit, appearance and finish of the 28" tire on all four corners of the machine. Hopefully having four all the same profile/size will allow me to rotate tires and slow tire wear, which I could not do with the mixed-size OEM Bighorns.
Want to like them, and I do for the most part - time will tell.

Michael M on Jul 4, 2017

I was looking for sidewall ply, anyone know what that is? Most tires sidewall ply is less, thanks
A shopper on May 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The sidewall on most ATV/UTV tires has a 2 ply rating such as this tire. The tread section has a radial 8 ply rating.
Any plans to make a 32” tall warthog tire?
justin m on Dec 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: not at this time.
From the reviews and questions that have been answered, it sounds like the warthogs run a little small in size. I am looking to replace my stock maxis bighorn tires 27x9-14 and 27x11-14. Can I replace these with the warthog 29x9-14 and 29x11-14 without any issues? I do not have a lift and do want want to have to change or add anything else other than the tires. Sounds like if I go with the 27 warthogs they will end up being shorter than my current stock tires and they do not have the same size warthogs in 28. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Dan F on Apr 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have a can am commander Max with a 2" lift. I went with the 28" warthogs all the way around and they run about an inch short. I wanted to go to the 29" and have room to, but I stayed with the 28s due to them being so much more heavier than my stock bighorns. Depending on your machine and if you have a lift, they may fit. I'f estimate the they would be 28-28.25" in diameter based on all the reviews that I read on the atv forums and the overall diameter I have
I have a rzr 1000-4 seater, I plan to run the front wheels on all four corners, 14x6, wanting to maybe go to a 30x10x14, However I don't want a heavy stiff tire. What do you recommend ?
Dan B on Sep 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Dan,
I have a 2011 RZR 800ESP I recently purchased the Wart hogs 27x9x14 and 27x11x14 I have about 100 miles or so on them. so far I really like them. great tread clean out pattern for mud. I ride the woods of Pennsylvania (pretty rocky trails). I really like the 8 ply and the side walls have a great tread pattern that almost goes to the rim that's I was looking for. The Wart Hogs don't seem to stiff I only run 8 lbs. in them they almost are run flats. My friends plan on getting them next time they need tires. Hope this helps out.
JIm L.
About 20% of my time is on pavement (Pioneer 1000-5) the rest is high desert/rock, etc.I l appreciate the Terrabite, but not sure of its performance in mud - its ability to clean. The current offer/price on this tire is tempting. These will replace stock BigHorns 2.0's. Ideas? Comments? Suggestions?
James H on Mar 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: James, are you referring to the Terrabite or the Warthog? The Warthog is what's pictured. Its an excellent tire for nearly all conditions except extreme mud.
The Terrabite, is a good all around tire, probably more suited to the riding you mentioned. Its one drawback is the ability to clean well when a lot of mud. I would definitely take the Terrabite over the Mongrel as its tread design is more open.
How are these tires wearing for anyone with 1000 plus miles on tough rocky terrain? Any plugs from punctures?
david n on Mar 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I can't speak to them wearing, but I just did a WORCS race on them on an extremely rocky course. I was a little worried because of the tire size I purchased. I was really surprised how well they handled and that there was no damage to any of the tread/lugs.
What kind of mileage can you expect from the Warthog with just normal trail riding as compared to something like the GBC Kanati Mongrel?
Edward P on Jan 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have had the Wart Hogs on for a little bit now probably about 200 miles or so, they still look new, My buddies and I like the tread pattern, Was a Big Horn or that type pattern kind of guy. Our terrain here in Pa is narrow trails with a lot shale and sharp rocks, the Wart Hogs hook up good. Went out yesterday did about 20 miles in the snow worked real well. I like the 8 ply and the tread rolling up on the sidewalls we tend to cut a lot of sidewalls up here. Very Happy with them my friends are talking about trying them when they need new tires. Hope I was helpful. Rocky Mountain Rules.
Currently Running Maxxis Bighorn 29x9x14 front and 29x11x14 rear with 2” lift on 2017 ranger 1000 xp crew. Can I run these 30x10x14 all the way around?
Donald P on Feb 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I don't think you would have any trouble with the 30s. If your rim width is currently 7 in I would strongly consider the 29 x 9 x 14 this is what I have on my 1000 Maverick . The 30 x 10 x14 should be run on an 8-in wide rim. If you've liked the bighorns you will absolutely love the traction with these tires. Hope this helps.
what psi is recommended for a utv?
A shopper on Jun 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I usually run 8 to 11 psi. For best ride quality and grip.
are these tires directional?
GARY C on Apr 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No there not but work great. Would definitely buy again.
Can I run a 29/11/14 on a 7 inch wide rim?
Joseph M on Mar 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Anything is possible , I suppose. Personally, I wouldn’t. You would really run the risk of unseating the bead with very little side load. Not to mention, that combination would limit your contact patch severely.
I have a 2016 RZR XC that is bone stock. I was wanting to do 29s but if these truly do run true to size then I think will have some clearance issues in the wheel wells when cranked to turn. Can anyone comment on whether or not they think these would fit or if I should just go 28s to be safe for fitment?
MICHAEL L on Jun 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have a Maverick and I went from OEM 27x9x12 tires to 28x10x14 Warthogs all around with no clearance issues, are you going wider than stock in the front?? if it is close now, going a lot wider could be an issue?
Anybody put 27” warthogs on stock polaris scrambler 1000XP? Does it rub in rear?
mike o on Apr 26, 2018

What is the true size of the warthog 28X 10 X 14?
Beau G on Mar 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have contacted several tire manufacturers concerning true tire size and they have told me to inflate the tire to near maximum air pressure for up to 48 hours and the tire will expand to the advertised size.
It was stated that the size of the warthog runs smaller than actual size. I just got a set of 29's that measure 27.5 What is the actual size of the 30x10x14?
Dave J on Feb 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: These tires seem to be true to size. Just measured from the ground to the top of the tread and it measures 30 inches. These are installed on 14 inch STI wheels with bead locks.
Additionally the $80 rebate is great but the tires work for nominal out in the dirt and rocks!
Can I run the 29x8-14 and 29x11-14 on 2017 Sportsman 850sp without clearance problems?
David V on Aug 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I just put those exact tires on my 09 Sportsman 850XP. There is plenty of clearance on the fronts. With the backs fully inflated the clearance is also fine. However, I let the back tires down to about 10PSI and now one side is just barely rubbing on the strut. I/you will need to keep the PSI up on the backs to maintain clearance.
I have a 2015 Polaris 900 XC with a 2" lift and R/T springs, Will the 29" Warthog fit without rubbing the front inner fender when cranked to turn?
Dave J on Feb 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The best way to know this is to take what ever your stock wheel is, so lets say a 27 and your going to a 29. So thats a 2 inch difference so 1 inch on each side. Crank your wheels to the left and right and make sure there is 1 inch clearance or what ever the difference is on each side. That will tell you if there is enough clearance for those tires.
I have a 2014 teryx 4 with a 2in lift. Will the 29x11x14 work or will it rub to bad?
Eric N on Jan 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: you will have to see what your stock tire size is then compare it to what this would be and crank the wheels left and right and make sure there is clearance for it.
What size of rim do I need for 30/10/14 thanks?
Tom M on Jan 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: You can use a 6, 7, 8, or 9 inch rims. I have put 10 inch tires on 9 inch rear wheels and 6 inch front wheels.
Will the 27x9x14 & the 27x11x14 fit my 09 Polaris 850 XP without any tire weight or rub issues ? oem size is 26x8x14 & 26x10x14.

Matt B on Jan 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: That is a customers machine, we are not sure what size tire he got.
Will the warthog wear like the terrabites?
Terry N on Sep 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: That would depend on the terrain they are run on the majority of the time. The Terrabites, having a closer tread pattern, would wear better if they saw a lot of pavement time. Off road, the Warthogs would wear just as well with a traction advantage over the Terrabites.
