    Expensive but worthwhile
Worth while for weekend rides. Remove dirt filter skin and keep riding all day on a fresh filter.

    Highly highly highly recommend
Oil these up, put over top clean oiled filter, keeps filter spotless. peel off skin when dirty install clean skin and the filter is still spotless underneath.

For the cost of them, you can toss them after use and keep them brand new and keep your filters spotless for a long time. Also is added protection for your motor one extra barrier for the dirt to get thru. HIghly highly recommend.

    Not to sure about this
I used these this summer and was not impressed. It's a cool idea but if you ride in any dust they clog up easy and you have to pull them off to continue your ride.

Work well but don't fit or last too long
Totally worth it, I get an extra ride or two before pulling off and changing filter. They don't fit great on newer ktm and husky filter and you have to poke holes in them for the air filter system when end up tearing after a few uses. Perfect for road trips, I bring 3 filter oiled with 3 covers and it gets me through most long trips. A little over priced given the fitment and durability.

Great for sand riders. Cuts down on filter cleaning
I ride sandy soils so my air filter always gets caked with sand. The PC filter skin keeps the sand off but still lets the filter breath and filter out the fine dust. No difference in performance.

    Beats carrying spare filter
Best thing about these is you don't have to carry a spare filter or try and clean one out in the boonies. On multiway trips here in the southwest you aren't always the lead bike....ie riding in dust. Simply carry a few of these pre oiled in a ziplock baggie and you can have a fresh clean filter anytime and as often as needed. Word of caution, DON'T ride with a bunch of like make and model.....they'll all be wanting your extras...begging like hungry little foo-foo dogs. If you have limited space in your airbox practice getting it and the filter back in place before you go. Putting one on and taking it off a few times and that way out in the sticks it'll be easy.

    Reduce air filter cleaning.
I am a hardcore trail rider. Ride many miles each year and a lot in dusty conditions in Arizona. Install Filter Skin dry over a well oiled filter. It will absorb some of the oil and even when the Skin is completely covered with dirt my bike runs great. Occasionally pinch the skin and shake it to clean it. When layer of dirt is real thick, pull off the skin. Your filter will still be very clean and you can run quite a while before cleaning the filter again. Wipe the intake track with a tissue to see if any dirt got past the filter, it will come out clean. I have used these for 10+ years.

    What A Convenience
I use an oiled Filter Skin over my filter and can usually replace only the Filter skin four or five times before I have to clean the filter. Even the dustiest ride can be be serviced with just a clean Filter Skin. And each Filter Skin can be cleaned and reused four or five times. Outstanding product.

Can these be used with a uni filter?
    Douglas R on Oct 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes they can be used with any brand filter, the material stretches easily and will contour around the shape no problem. Make sure you also lightly oil the filter skin, the do an excellent job of keeping out dust and the main air filter will need less changing.
What kind of oil do you use to oil these and how do you do it?
    A shopper on Oct 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You use the same oil as you use on the foam air filter. Filterskins are a strechy cloth material that you put over the foam filter. Just hold them in your hand and pour some filter oil on them and squeeze out the excess. Where latex gloves. They catch dirt before it reaches the filter. They work well. They are small so I keep an extra pre-oiled one in a ziplock bag in my backpack with a latex glove.
for honda owners, does this go on over the center mounting bolt, or do you tear a hole in the center of the skin to insert the bolt through it?
    Marc A on Apr 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: My buddy puts the filter skin over the mounting bolt. Make sure to oil the skins lightly so they capture the dust and dirt.
how do you know which size skin fits the filter? I have a 2008 yz250f
    A shopper on Oct 5, 2017
