They worked great for hauling a bike in my utility trailer. I wish I purchased slightly longer ones. If your tied down strap with a metal hook gets loose, some extra distance from the bike would be a good idea. These hook straps are rugged and handled my DRZ400 well.
Soft hooks work nice when handle bar room is limited, these Ancra soft ties are there usually high quality and are holding up well after several years. Using them also keeps the bars looking new since hooks will eventually scratch even when plastic coated.
These soft hooks are good to use if you already have tie downs and don't want to scratch your bars, but spend the extra cash and get the 18" ones and it'll give you more wiggle room and easier to wrap around the bars. I ended up purchasing the pro taper soft tie downs after using these for a while but I still use these if my riding buddies need an extra set.
These are prefect for when you can't find a good place to hook your strap. I love them for strapping down my side by side, on the back there is no good place to use the hooks and these are perfect to just wrap around the bumper and then you have a good tie point.
I have multiple sets of these and been using for years, and not just for bike hauling. No more handlebar wear from tie-down hooks on the bikes, but also great for securing camp gear/gas cans, etc. I always keep them in the truck!
this is a simple straight forward product if you spend the money on a nice set of aftermarket bars you should invest in these they will keep your bars looking nice and free of scuffs from tie down hooks they are pretty durable as well I've had mine a little over a year now and they are holding up well I have purchased these for all of my machines.
If you don't have a set of soft hooks, I would recommend you get yourself some. they save your bars from getting ate up from your tie downs. if your tie downs have rubberized hooks, the soft hooks keep the rubber from tearing and keep your tie downs rust free. great product!
After a few trips with my buddies cinching down my quad on the trailer. I figured I would do it myself and not let them touch it anymore. Found these, they were a little more expensive, but its worth it. Well constructed, quality fabric and stitching. Get some and save your aluminum from your friends.
very simple product, yet effective. keeps your bars from getting scratched up. also extends your reach with the tie downs should you need the longer length. durable too. been using this product for years.
